I just discovered that while shiny horde hunting in Y I never had the shiny charm to start with. I use X, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire more but it would have been very helpful when looking for Roggenrola.

 

Is Rock Smash a good move for a Togepi? I need it to get through the Burnt Tower, but I'm not 100% sure I should teach it to Togepi. (Nobody else in my current team can learn it and I'm not sure if I should look for a better Mon to give it to.)

 

Ok, to expand upon my lack of shiny charm and my recent adventures, here goes. So last year I completed the Pokedex to get the shiny charm but as stated I forgot to get it in Y. I discovered that the other day when checking to see if I had the oval charm for hatching eggs. I want to get as many of the Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon dex Pokemon so I went back to Y to hatch them. As always I use a Japanese Ditto with my Pokemon to increase the odds of getting a shiny. Well after all that breeding I start hatching while saying I hope if I get a shiny it isn't Druddigon (which I have one) or a Mime Jr. or Mr. Mime (I have several from looking for Roggenrola). After hatching 130 Pokemon what do you think I got? A kick ass Larvitar? NO, a Mr. F******* Mime. It is my second shiny egg hatch and first in Gen 6 so there is that I guess.

 

Rock smash is meh move. I would advise you set up a HM Slave for things like rock smash,cut, strength and etc Surf is good enough you could use it on a regular team member. Fly is kind of a personal Preference situation.

 

Yay, guess who missed the Ampharosite giveaway permanently now? My Soul Silver file is basically worthless now because I can't take my Ampharos past X and Y.

I think I'm just done. I missed Volcanion years ago, the Legendary I was most excited for, I'm missing most of the Mega Stones I actually use, I don't battle online unless I want items, so why should I even bother with competitive teams?

 

don't worry. i'm sure US/UM will have those stones ready this time around.

I'm hoping so as well. I wasn't a fan that the only way to get so many of the Mega Stones was through events. And I still haven't gotten the Gen 1 starters stones yet because the Battle Tree is such a pain...

 

So how many of the new Pokemon for the Ultra games are actually out in the wild to catch & not locked away in more asinine "SOS Battles" ???
