Is this OS?

I have the IF version so regular size is pointless for me.

 

I've liked the look of the IF set, but it's a bit out of my price range for what I consider secondary figures. But at half the price I'd pick it up no probs... as long as they leave the scale as it is. OS would look ridiculous next to Hulkie and the rest of my legends. His Bruticus mode is already a tad big with the high shoulders.

This is what I'm waiting for, original is overpriced, please don't OS it.

 

Hard to tell with Pocket toys what size they will do.

I'm fine with a variety of sizes ; Original size would be OK for genuine Legends scale at a better price . a bit bigger might make him the same size as the Yellow Hulkie KO and more suited to scale with Huge Dragon - the other option that makes sense it have the individual robots more like MFT scale and the combined robot mode more akin to WJ's OS Hulkie KO.

That they seem to be selling them in pairs and the torso is a curious choice - does that suggest they are bigger ?

 

Not necessarily, that's how IF sold them, two 2-packs and the torso separate.

The irony is I bought the MFT Hulkie KO, and it wasn't oversized, which is why I bought it. So MFT scale is all over the place, really. Sometimes their OS works, like SHockwave, who in my mind should be as tall as Gen Toy Megatron, who is bigger than most Legends (good), but then you have the KO seekers who are almost CHUG size, and KO Dinobots twice as high as IF carbots.. not great. The Mech Planet Ironhide + Ratchet + soundwave are juuuust a little big for Legends but still comfortable to me next to my Gen Toy Leaders so it's fine.

Already own the original, but I might get this -- depending on price and quality of course -- to have a set to keep in bot mode.

And although it will probably never happen, I would love it if they re-colored Vortex grey. I've never been too keen on the blue IF went with.

 

Yes I remember - I was just thinking that in terms of practicality they'd want to sell it all in one box if it was a 1-1 scale copy & selling it (as it was originally sold) might sugges it's larger.

Looking at some pics he's actually bigger than many others as he is - so perhaps you'd not want him much bigger or it would end up as basically competing with the KO Combiner Wars Bruticus.

 

If they're upsized to legends+ and the price is right, I'll get them. Otherwise, Bruticus is a character I've never had a problem living without.

 

What I love the most about these guys and most 3P Kos are the names and other insane BS nonsense they print on these boxes.

Trans Sphere: The Evil Energy - Panzer Legion 5 sounds like the most badass 80's anime I never saw.

What does Shockwave's inclusion in the digi-render mean? Will he come with Onslaught instead of Hunter Arcee?

 

Norbert. That's why he abbreviates it. Nobody takes you seriously if your name is Norbert, even if you are a 40 foot tall murder robot tank man.

 

Iron Factory’s original release also included a mini, non-transforming version of their Shockwave.

Still, it will be interesting to see if Pocket Toys KO Arcee, since that could also mean the return of IF’s Nightbird and Elita 1.
