Why don't people ever bother to do correct research utilizing ebay?

we as collectors have to do the same thing. *sigh*

the ebay prices are not actually too high. unless of course you do don't really value minty fresh G1 figures. ;)

Though, i do find it interesting that you say they are mint yet the stickers are applied.

you do know that mib means Mint In Box right? meaning the boxes were never opened and the stickers were never applied.

and without photos how can we truly help you.

How do you or we know the figures aren't KO's? we need more info.

    Ebay:
you're talking about MISB (never opened) not mib, mib figures are open, stickers applied, mib unused is opened unapplied

Are the high prices asking prices or what people are bidding? If it's what people are bidding and you want to do a "friend" price for forum members, I say ebay -10%.

Since Ebay will rip 10% out of your wallet if you sell on there I think that's fair.

Lol no. Never opened is MISB which means Mint In Sealed Box. Mint In Box means the toy is in mint condition in it's box, whether the stickers have been applied or not.

If you're gonna patronise people, at least be right.

okay, you lost me there. how can a toy be in Mint (as in never been touched or handled) condition in a box that was opened. especially if the toy's stickers were applied. that means you touched it and the oils from your hands are all over the toy. thereby making it no longer mint. :/

The collector logic astounds me sometimes.

See I like that description you wrote. and it makes much more sense. :)

but OP was saying his was MIB and the stickers were applied. which means he either applied them himself or....they were applied by the previous owner which also means ta-daaaaa, you guessed it, they had to also transform them to apply the stickers for the robot mode. so to me that means. they are not MIB anymore.

Yeah, I've playfully wondered about this for years hah, and its why I'm such a strong advocate for the "near-mint" classification.

They're all around 100 to 300. Toys like Megatron are like 200-300. Starscream is between 100 and 150.

No need to jump on the OP for his use of terms.

From what I have seen in the community, at Botcon, other cons, and here on the boards, MIB is generally used to mean that the toy is in very good condition, with the box still included. The toy has been played with, probably transformed a few times, but is in very good shape. MISB, obviously, means that the toy is untouched, in an unopened box that is still sealed.

With that said, here are some useful guidelines from Mark Bellomo's "Transformers Identification and Price Guide."

MIB (Mint in Box): A term used for a mint condition action figure in a mint-condition box that is not factory sealed (box is opened and any baggies may be opened) but all of the toy's respective accessories, and pieces, are present and in mint condition.

MISB (Mint in Sealed Box); MISB reflect a mint-condition Transformer that has never been removed from its mint-condition factory-sealed box. On some factory sealed examples, the box itself may not necessarily be in mint condition, as sealed boxes are usually graded on a scale from C-4 (poor condition) to C-10 (mint and perfect in every way). Toys with sealed boxes in less than mint condition cannot be considered C-10 MISB, and prices should be adjusted accordingly.

wow 12 years ago. you must have lots of cool stuff. :)  and wow that's alot of terms. i had forgot there were so many.

I just hate the terms myself.

Whenever a box is opened i always say Near-Mint. Sometimes I just hate abbreviations, it takes all the fun out of collecting stuff and make it a bit to serious sometimes. but I guess it makes things easier for the ebay guys. :)

I meant no harm in my replies, I was just trying to make sense of the various terms, that in some ways just seem to mean pretty much the same thing.

I always have learned to question everything. :)

    Ebay:
Hey if we want to turn this into a thread about classifications, tell it to the slagging laods of idiots on ebay who list things as complete which aren't they'll say "It's complete, but his arm is missing" or "it's complete except for his accessories" FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUU Drives me up the slagging wall!
