I just can't justify spending $300 bucks on it at this time. Only 1 account per Vita and the memory cards are too expensive. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop and more better bundle pack. Sandisk needs to start making some memory cards for the Vita too.
I'm kind of hoping they put multiplayer in the (potential) uncharted sequel. (And focus less on touch controls)
If touch controls were relegated strictly to the explorer aspect of the game, it would be perfect. But as they stand, they are only decent.
Definitely set on the Wi-Fi only version, since my phone is a 3G/4G hotspot. Makes no sense to get a 3G version when my phone as a hotspot is faster with 4G. Finally played Uncharted on it today. Can't wait until Weds! Looks like my two launch games will definitely be Wipeout and UMVC3.
I'm intrigued. Are you guys buying the game cards or going the digital download route? After having the PSPgo, I went with digital downloads. Plus, games like Uncharted are cheaper.
If you mean the VS series then nope, and chances are they'll continue with it on the PS3. Maybe With the first upcoming real sequel to the series, but who knows when that will come. Of course this is just my guess work. Maybe they can get the extreme engine running on the Vita.
Well I don't have wi-fi, nor do I have my credit card registered with PSN. (Not after that hacking fiasco. Hell no.) So, I'm gonna go with the game cards.
Owning the card is much more satisfying for me. Plus considering how large most of the vita games are it won't take long before the memory card is filled up.
Rear touch panel is pissing me off. Another scratch appeared. I do not understand. It's either in the case or in my hands. Doesn't even rest on anything. Ugh.
Short fingernails, and I don't touch the touch pad at all when I play. I either put my fingers in the designated slots on the back or off to the metal siding of the system. The case is what came with the First Edition version. They say it is microfiber, but it feels way too rough. I put in a microfiber cloth in the back to protect it, but more appeared. None are large, but they are tiny, and they aren't designated to one spot. I emailed Sony for the hell of it. It isn't major, but it is pissing me off like you wouldn't believe. The NERF armor case has a back panel that goes over the rear touch pad. Front is unprotected, but that is no different than what I have now. Might get it.
If you guys don't mind, could you elaborate on wehat the rear sensor does? I only played uncharted and that didn't even use it.
Actually, it does. When cleaning objects you find, you wipe the dirt off with the touch screen and rotate it with the rear touch panel. Games like Little Deviants have you change the landscape to roll a character around into a certain area. Super Stardust uses it to cause black holes. Depends on the game. It seems unneeded sometimes, and awesome in others. But the scratches annoy me. NERF case did the trick. Just need a case that'll fit the NERF case in it. Case within a case.
On the front, yeah. I didn't know a good brand to order touch panel protectors from. Don't sell those at retail. The NERF case is actually really nice. Feels good when playing the system.
I really wish they would of release a dumbed down version for those of us that hate most 3D and touch screen handheld games. Playing physical PSP games would have been a nice incentive to upgrade since i have like 40 collecting dust now.(My PSP was stolen when my truck was broken into)
Honestly, that's not a problem as most cell phone places have them a'plenty, but I was just wondering if you did it. I'll be doing the same. Is the nerf case available at retail?
Size would be weird. Isn't the same size as the touch screen, and finding a cell phone screen with the same size would be a pain. And yeah, bought it at Game Stop. Actually doesn't look terrible on the device. Comes in blue, purple, and yellow. It was about $20. Makes holding the Vita for long periods of time much more comfortable.
No, bc you can buy them for tablets and cut out the appropriate size, lol. And nice. I don't know about those whacky colors, but I'll definitely check them out.
