If you really wanted it buy it on sale or used. Didn't hear anything amazing about it. Just a mediocre reboot.

 

Reviews for Thief are what Metacritic calls 'mixed or average'. It still looks like something I'd enjoy, and most of the criticisms I've heard are not deal killers for me.

It's just not something I'd pay full price for.

Well guys, community learned something new about streaming with Twitch from the PS4 today...

Developers can program a block into their games, where it cuts the stream at a certain point they don't want people to see. I do not like this at all, as it means if developers don't want streams ever they have the power to stop them completely. Not okay.

I'm fine with this. Seriously if you are working hard on a game and it gets leaked do you really want the game to be spoiled before it even comes out? Plus twitch gives anyone access to watch. What if someone just streams something like gta v strip club lap dance which includes nudity. Any kid could just go on and watch that. Blocking it could save the devs ass when it comes to laws and bitching parents because their kids saw something they shouldn't.

but the stream cutts off when the Ending Cutscene loads. Which is funny cause no one still knows what happens leading into The Phantom Pain and now everyone is gonna have to wait until the 15th & 16th of March for YT channels to upload their walkthrough of the game.

Lol it isn't the devs problem what goes on the Internet. Especially if a kid shouldn't see it. I mean, porn sites don't get in trouble when a little kid gets on one of their websites.

Nope it isn't the devs problem how their game got on but it is a problem when it comes to it being shown when they didn't want it to. It sucks when you work hard and one person ruins their work just by uploading it on the Internet. Yes there is capture cards and they can't block that yet.

Yes the internet has a lot of porn sites but right now video games shows anything and people who don't play them or understand them freak out. Look at gta v torture scene, torture isn't a new thing to show in media but a game does it and omg it is a terrible thing to show!

 

Please. Compared to every other GTA release GTAV went under the radar by the mass media more than anything.

 

You don't stumble on this shit by accident dude - unless you're sent a malicious link and are dumb enough to click on it, material like TwitchStreams of games, regardless of their content, are something you need to search for yourself.

As for blocking capture devices, if you build a better mousetrap, then nature builds a better mouse. I've seen just about every inbuilt software level encryption for this sort of stuff be crowed from the highest rooftops by the suits as unbreakable and shit like that; and the Internet always responds 'Challenge Accepted'.

 

I say, don't watch the videos if you are worried about ruining something...Seems like common sense. I think this is bullshit if they didn't announce this from the get-go.
