The Foxconn intern situation is horrible and all, but if my PS4 arrives broken and I knew it was sabotage I'm gonna FIRST WORLD PROBLEM rage myself to China to blow the whole factory up, just sayin

I do miss when Sony made everything in Japan factories, those products seemed to last; though also would've resulted in another $699 launch

I heard about this. Foxconn make a lot of stuff, including xboxes, as well as products for Apple and Nintendo. If it's affected PS4, it's as likely to affect Xbone, so it's probably a neutral factor in this. The reported failure rate is still quite a bit lower than previous launches.

Still sucks if you're affected.

... That's the thing about Rumor's you don't know if its legit unless their's some sort of follow up article confirming or disproving the charge.

 

I've had to start my Battlefield 4 campaign over 3 times now. I keep getting an error that says my game save file has been corrupted. And the game keeps crashing sometimes.  

Anyone else have this happen to them?

 

There are some really great looking games for 2014. I'm trying to hold out since I would really just be getting it because of the newness  

I am still playing my PS3 alot, but not really looking forward to ay more games this year either. If it had backwards compatibility it would have been a day one purchase for me.

Fortunately, since there are none available right now, my dilema is solved for now.

 

i will pick up the game later but i wont play it until an update is released.

Mine is fine so far, ive started it up twice and the save is fine. Arent the saves being uploaded to the cloud with PS+ though?

 

Do I have to turn that on manually? Because I haven't done anything with that.
And I don't know why it keeps getting overwritten.

 

Not sure to be honest. Are you just turning the game off or ejecting it when playing? I always select quit to main menu before switching games or turning it off.

 

No, it's the only disc game I have so it just sits in the system. As for quitting the application before shutting off the system I honestly don't remember how I've done it.

But, it's not happening after I shut it off and come back, the game is crashing while I'm playing it and then I get the "corrupted file" message when I enter the game again.

According to the Battlelog forums BF4 is the only game that's crashing. DICE said that a patch for the game is coming next week. Still sucks though.  

 

if it's anything like a pc game, perhaps you could delete all local content, reinstall and give it a go. don't have a ps4 yet but just hearing the problem sounds like a bad install.

 

I will try that after work. That sounds like what's wrong. I didn't even think of that.
