Too lazy/hot to pull out the real camera and light box, not that it's big enough.. so it's crappy composition sheet photos with my camera phone, which is still good enough to pick up the damned cat hair everywhere (just changed those sheets yesterday too..).

    Ambush!

Two combine into one (awful shot):

    The old invaders:

What a difference a single piece makes.. is it bad I want to buy a few sawflys just for these pieces?

Additional note: I think every cockpit is getting a Future bath on the hinges.. damn things keep flopping open.

    I have 2 questions.

    1. What is everyone's favorite set so far?

    2. Do these ships work with Tamashii nations action base 5?

My favorite is the locust.. I'll probably pick up two more when I track down the Trident. But if you were going to only buy one to get a feel of things, either the two pack or the Sabre or Scarab depending on which faction you prefer (I think the pair of the latter is better then the two pack).

I don't know if I could jury rig an AB5 to hold one or not. My gut response is no, but some creativity and/or 3d printing an adapter might make it doable.

Wasp and Sabre are my top two, with Locust being a very close second.
I think Sabre is a safe pick for anyone that likes space ships, but the Komplex ships have a lot of character.

I apologize in advance for the terrible photography skills, but after going through the sets I was curious to know if they really were as distinct as it seemed. So I went through and picked out the pieces that could only be found in one set (I'll admit, I didn't compare every single piece to every single piece so it may not be 100% accurate, but I think it's very close if it's not). Turns out (at least for the Komplex) there are quite a lot of unique bits, and only one instance I saw of recolors, and one other of a retool that was so minor I at first thought it was just a recolor.

This is for the 5 Komplex sets that are currently available.

Hey, does anyone have the DCPI for the sets? Since they're starting to pop up in stores, I want to see if I can find the sets on Popfinder.

Thanks so much!!! Now that I've seen pics and compared, mine does indeed have the same design. I am rarely able to sit down and play with my toys so I hadn't noticed. Now that you've pointed it out, its made my scythe experience much better!!!

Are there any other tiny figures currently available for sale which are around the size of snap ships pilots or dianauts? I have a bunch of action fleet vehicles that I need pilots for.

Here are some more custom builds I put together, using parts from the Gladius, Lance, Sabre and Falx sets.

The only options I'm aware of are: Find a Chinese merchant selling the MFT bag of dianaut kos, the Gundam Micro Wars pilots (hope you like Gundam because that's an awful lot to pay for a handful of pilots otherwise), and the upcoming Rihio pilots however they'll be made available.

I spotted one hang tag worth of these at Target last night, next to the Transformers section. They had I think just one ship, the Sabre, it was $14.99. DCPI 087-16-8210

My local Target had these out today. They have an 80's vibe to me, so I picked up the Scarab just to test the line out. I dig it! I'll pick up at least the Scorpion as well for now.

I saw these at Target today and did a double take having read about them here already. I didn’t realize they come with a driver. How cool is that? How do the drivers compare with mega construx in terms of size and build quality? I haven’t bought any yet...but will probably get at least one soon.

The pilots are smaller than Diaclone pilots which are half the size Mega Construx figures.

Holy shit that’s tiny! And impressive, given the amount of detail they appear to have.

I saw one of the sets at the local Target. It was something like the Interceptor, but smaller.
Nice to see them hitting retail.

Just a heads-up, Target.com is now offering Snap Ships for purchase, including the Target exclusive Trident.
