Take this with a big grain of salt until official confirmation, but words saying Playmates is planning a MonsterVerse "Legacy Collection" in the future. No further details were present beyond the brand, no idea if it's a vinyl release or action figure line in the vein of the 6" Godzilla vs Kong line.

 

I don't have the 11" Mechagodzilla, so can anyone confirm to me if they gave it "wrecking balls" like the 6" version?

 

Gave my Mechagodzilla new ankles. Now to wait until the new joints arrive to work on the tail before a new paint job.

I found Jet Jaguar at Target today.

Man, his colors are super muted.... it is a weird pose they have him in too, the way the swivels are angled you can't get many good looks for him.

But ... I'm glad to have a Jet Jaguar I guess!

 

My sister grabbed one for me since I didn't have any luck finding one in-person yet, but I wouldn't have minded anything else about the figure if he could at least stand normally! One of the rare figures I keep boxed maybe, while I pick up the new Bandais, we'll see when I finally get it.

 

May I know which Jet Jaguar you are referring too?

Thanks man! The bad news for me is that Playmates aren’t available in my country...some of the retailers in my country are saying its a licensing issue? Where Bandai has a first dibs...don’t know if its true.

 

Bandai Japan has a new Jet Jaguar this summer as well as a Godzilla Store exclusive so that’s something! You’re not missing that much in this case.

 

Yeah, I would probably pick that one when its released.

 

Eeeeeh... didn't get as well as I wanted. The tail pieces got too gappy and the smaller joints can't hold well together. I ordered some extras to have alternative hands and make a drill tail piece so I will try with the tail again with a different approach.

 

Back to my current project and with current results I can safely say I no longer need the MonsterArts Mechagodzilla. Not only do I have a proper articulated Mechagodzilla, but I also gave it more than what Bandai is offering: Alternate hands, beam effect, articulated missile launchers, missiles, rotary blades, energy punch, and jet thrusters. The last one I wasn't sure if I'd do it since I didn't want to kitbash the main body, but since sticky tacks didn't work I took the chance and try if it works. Luckily I did have spare bodies to test with and it worked surprisingly well, so I went ahead and did it on the main figure. The only thing missing is a new paint job but for now, satisfactory. And all of this costed less than the MonsterArts MSRB.

The GvK line is not yet over. We are getting a new Battle Mechagodzilla with darker colors, translucant plates and Proton Scream effect, and the package shows an Antarctic Kong.

Okay, I might actually bite for the proton scream Mechagodzilla.

 

I just saw this thread get bumped again and was thinking to myself "isn't the movie line basically over at this point?" hah. I never got around to any version of Godzilla or any Kongs besides the first one (which has some wonky eyes) but I have Skullcrawler, Warbat, and MG and like this new one as well, so maybe I'll try for it. Finally putting that hole in the mouth to use!

 

I wonder when the new Mechagodzilla will release. I haven't seen any Godzilla toys in any Walmart or any Target in months except a couple times and there was barely anything

 

The movie line is Walmart exclusive, bear in mind! The classic Playmates line has expanded to Target though, seen Burning Godzilla and Jet Jaguar last time I was there (near electronics).
