My son is finally getting to that age where I can play with him and toys. So I just thought I would share a small story with you guys. I think it was pretty funny.

So lately, my son has been coming into my collection room and looking at my toys and being like, "Daddy I like your toys". The figures I don't tend to use that much tend to be in Alt mode, which is great because he sees them as a plane or a car. I was going to sell my Classics Power Glide, but my son loves it so much as a plane so I kept it. A couple of days ago, he started to play with my extra RTS Bumblebee.

Anyway, he loves Thomas, and I always setup this huge wooden set downstairs. So yesterday, he took out Bumble Bee and wanted me to play with him. So I transformed him from his Alt mode to his bot mode. My son loved it. Then I pretended he was a bad guy that stole Thomas' bridge and threw it. The next thing I know Thomas is flying trying to catch Bumblebee to beat him up to get the bridge back.

Then he wanted to be Bumblee and Fly around the Choo choo's (how he calls it). It was the first time I really played with TFers. It was actually pretty fun. That's why it is so great to have a child.

I think if I was 33 and played with Bumble Bee and Thomas trains making wooosh noises, my wife would leave me. Add my son to the equation and all the sudden its the cutest things she ever saw.

Haha, well, it was more me doing the first scene of Toy Story 3, which my son loves. He always does the train falling of the bridge when playing with Thomas. I just made it that Bumblebee broke the bridge. I was even using a dumb bad guy laugh. LOL.

The best thing about Toy Story 3, is the fact that they can make a Toy Story 4, where Andy is 33 and now is playing with those toys with his own kids. I mean I didn't play with Thomas as a kid, but I did play with Trains and Transformers. Now that has come full circle.

BTW is that Train Optimus figure sturdy. I am really debating buying that for my son since he loves trains so much. I may be crazy though. Spending $90 for TFer for my son to play with may be a bit much.

My daughter just turned 4, and I can totally relate. I have a four shelf bookcase in the living room, that is my "area". and is loaded with toys and Transformers. She has been interested as for as long as I can remember. I always bring down the reissues of Soundwave and Blaster for her to play with, among many others.

Bumblebee is her favorite, and she has her own figures, too. The Ice Cream Twins, were her favorite when they were in ALT form, she loved the truck.

She prefers cars and trucks and Transformers, she doesn't have any dolls or girls stuff, haha.

One of my six-month-olds was grabbing for my Skyhammer yesterday. We'll have to hold that thought for a few years, I told her :lol

Oh yeah, I think it is a KO. Don't know if he would appreciate combiners yet but I gotta look into that.

Actually, dumb question, or maybe just a dad question, but how are KOs and Led? It's not like my son eats his toys or anything, but I think KOs from China should be a big no no with kids.

    thats crazy.

Its almost a perfect story of where im at with my boy. He LOVES thomas, and I built him a BIG playset and mounted tracks and painted grass and rivers..turned out great. He LOVES TFs too. SO when we were playing a week or two ago, I said "lets have thomas take some cargo to the docks, and have Megatron and the decepticons, ambush the train!" he was a little hesitant to mix TFs and thomas at first, but when I said "Optimus prime and the autobots can come to the rescue!!" he was ALL FOR IT.

Now he starts making scenarios like "daddy, how about Megatron attacks the airport, and Bumblebee and optimus come to the rescue!" So he sets up the cybervers Ark, and has all the autobots ready to roll out, when megatron and his evil decepticons ever decide to mess the the autobots friend...Thomas.

For years I collected toys...Id buy em...mess with em..put em on a shelf....Now..I get to actually forget about all the ADULT issues for a bit...and actually lay on the floor....and play transformers with my best friend....

I could not be happier in life right now.

I don't have any kids of my own (that I know of), but last year at Christmas, my wife and I went to visit my sister and her family...she has two boys, 5 and 2. The 5 year old is HUGE into The Thomas trains, and Cars movie stuff..whenever I get to see him, he ALWAYS wants to "play Cars". He always says stuff like "Jeff do you like to play cars?" and "Jeff, you should bring your toy cars with sometime..." So when we went there for Christmas, I brought my cars...actually just Animated Activators Bumblebee and Ratchet.
We went down to his play area, and I started chasing him around his little city setup...he was absolutely delighted that I brought my own toys...then he said "can I play with yours?" I said sure, and we traded...I think we made a couple of laps, and he said he liked my car (Bumblebee)...I told him that if he wanted to see something REALLY COOL, he should press the red button on the top. He did, and when that robot popped out of that car...man...the look on his face was priceless...
He played with that thing ALL NIGHT...When I got ready to leave, I "accidentally" left the two figures there. I think he now realizes that Bumblebee could waste Lightning McQueen...If he only knew how vast Transformers is beyond Animated Activator Bumblebee...might screw the little kid up.

That's awesome! My son is only 2 1/2, so he is not yet ready for tfers cartoons. I think it may scare him a bit, but I cannot wait until he is into it.

He loves the toys though. It's funny when he got frustrated trying to transform bumblebee.

I gotta look into that gobot.

Those magnetic trains were some of my favorite toys when I was a kid. I think I still have them in a storage bin somewhere.

Yup..those are the ones my lil guy loves. He has some of the motorized ones, but hardly ever touches them. Just prefers to pull em along...

GOD.......I MISS those days.....you can never go back.

But you can play with toys again with your kids and get away with it!!!!!!
