Y'know, if he's not wearing a police uniform, if it's not a police car, how is he impersonating a police officer? He very well could have seen the undercover detective doing some strange stuff and wanted to flag him down and ask him about it. Just a strobe light doesn't seem like enough to be considered "impersonating a police officer," and "citizen's arrest" is a real thing. But he deserves whatever he gets for not showing up in court. That's just being stupid.
I'm just happy that ToysRUs never sells guns anymore. I even got threatened my one once after some big guy got into a fight with me, pointed the gun at me and said "YOU WANT TO TAKE THIS OPUTSIDE!!!" I don't even know what I did wrong to him, he is just an idiot.
The dude charged is an idiot. If he showed up to court with a half decent lawyer he woul dhave beat the charges. He could have come off as a concerned citizen. In turn he could have sued the cop and made a bundle.
