So, were seriously not getting a new Rodimus Prime voyager for the 30th anniversary but that Titanium mold that I did not read much good things about?

Galvatron was a Voyager that was downscaled, he suffers from that but is still a solid toy. He just isn't an imposing Galvatron and has some awkwardness. The decision not to make him a Voyager was the wrong decision.

Rodimus Prime is one of the better Titaniums. He isn't perfect but he has no glaring issues like some of the others. A nifty transformation and clear windows are nice.

Not that it matters much, but I wonder if the Rodimus will even have diecast, or if they will make the whole thing out of plastic this time. I like most of the platinum stuff, but this would need to be on deep discount.

Of course it will be plastic. Can't imagine it otherwise.

    UGH.

"Bring home two of the worst figures of all time, now in one craptastic set!!!"

Should be the tagline on this box... Bring on the bizarre/rumored Headmaster Rodimus and let this poor mold rest in peace.

Oh my...this is quite strange. Has someone been looking at my want list? I know these moulds are 'less than desirable', but I've been meaning to check out Galvatron for quite some time, and although Titanium Rodimus is pretty bad I can't help but find him funny enough to want him.

So, basically its a two-pack of toys that I know are bad but I have been looking for for quite a while. Sweet. Guess the hate will make getting one all the easier.

I feel like the guy in charge of the Platinum sets is just trolling the fandom at this point.

He's probably this 65 year old guy a couple of months away from retirement and assigned as the "head" of the Platinum sets group so that Hasbro can shuffle him off to a corner office somewhere. In spite, he's decided to see just what sort of bullshit he can get away with. He was stunned when Year of the Goat Soundwave actually sold, and he's now on a perverse mission to test the limits of the fandom's buying capacity, tragically failing to realize that no matter how terrible a product is released, there will *always* be some goober out there who thinks it's cool and will buy it.

He will die a broken shell of a man, after his final attempt of releasing a platinum set of translucent TF4 shampoo bottle figures is met with wild success.

I will say, if Rodimus actually ends up being cast in all plastic, I'd consider picking it up. It's not a great figure, but serviceable.

So, considering that there is no flame pattern on the alt mode other than the hood, I bet Rodimus is still diecast and they skimped on the paint budget. Y'know, on this clearly collector oriented set.

    What. The heck.

I assume Hasbro is just letting monkeys pick these ideas from a hat?

Or this. I like this theory better.

    :lolol

Honestly though, I feel like it's probably a middle-aged woman.... Sigh. Probably promoted up from My Little Pony or something. I can just imagine her reading some graphs and being like "Oh, it looks like our fans want a, hm, a Roddymas Prime? toy? Ok, let's use this mold we have stored over here in the completely retired mold section, that sounds like a good cost cutting idea!"

It seems like the one nerd they've actually got is that John Warden guy doing the CW stuff.

At least we have the freedom NOT to buy it. :lol  One thing I hate though is when crap they dish out doesn't sell, of course they'll use it as an excuse to never try anything adventurous ever again... sigh.

Rodimus Prime isn't that bad. If anything, he's one of the best figures in the rather mediocre Titanium line. If you want bad, try Hearts of Steel Megatron.
