    You're lucky.

I would agree that there might be some improvements and QC changes done to this Platinum production run.

But given a price point for Platinum sets I'd be very reluctant to test it in practice...

Really hate to say it, but I think I could get sucked into buying this Galvi. Hope to get it cheap just for that.

    Pretty much. :lol

While I personally like the Rodimus figure by no means do I think this set is a good idea or something that most people want. Neither figure has a very big fan base, one is often regarded as 'worst of the best line' and one is often regarded as 'best of the worst line'. I'm trying to force logic onto this and all I can come up with is, as I said before, maybe they want to pump out the existing Rodimus toys to build awareness/excitement for a new one they have planned, or perhaps a US release of the new MP Rodimus. A "Year of Rodimus" sort of thing.

They know we want a new one and it's like they're playing with us: "You want a Rodimus? Here's a Blackjack redeco, how about that? No? OK then...here's another release of Classics Rodimus! Not that either? Hmm...well hold on to your socks because here's a PREMIUM Titanium Rodimus! And he comes with a little Galvatron that you wont want because we already showed you a better one!"

All we're missing is a reissue of the MP and Legends Rodimus. :|

Not saying he is hunched a lot, but he leans forward on mine. I think it is more of the ratchet setting. Overall though I like a lot of the titanium figures.

Dunno. I do like this Rodimus figure. I could use a newer specimen. But given how this is packaged with this Galvatron mold which too small even with QC ironed out, with a TR Galvatron being riiight there...

Can't say I could justify spending on it.

I'm seeing a deluxe Rodimus out of Chromedome, sadly. Unless they specifically made a new Voyager mould, because none of the new ones scream 'Rodimus' in their vehicle modes, they won't be releasing him in that scale. Besides, when was the last time we got a Voyager carformer? Generations Springer? That only happened because he was a Triple-Changer and also a Helicopter. Face it, cars don't get Voyager figures.

I guess they could make a new mould with a car with the trailer and maybe a beast or flight mode.

We need a new Rodimus Prime. He would be a Voyager. Hot Rod would probably be a Deluxe though.

From the pics I'm going to assume Rodimus and the matrix are plastic, but the matrix is tooled to open so it can slip into 5mm hands. What would be fun is if his chest is retooled to at least store the matrix.

This. Rodimus from chromedome would be inexcusable.

Looks diecast to me since the legs and forearms are painted. Doesn't look like the matrix opens up. And its pretty unlikely Hasbro would retool the chest (is there even any space in there to retool a matrix compartment?).

Well, I found myself a decently priced unopened Battle In Space pack recently, so although I was thinking of picking this up I'll skip it because I'll already have a Rodimus.

And yeah, I looked at some reviews of Titanium Rodimus and yeah...he's bad. Still, I'll try looking for a Galvatron outside this.

Thing is, this Rodimus was a really great idea, just a poor execution. Seems like at a voyager or leader scale you could really do him justice, either as a fully trailer integrated voyager all the titanium design, or tweaking the TR formula, a more G1-style leader that splits with a voyager-ish scale robot from the cab and a base from the back.

The older tank Galvatron instead of the newest rendition of him? Lame.

I kinda want it. Glad to see there won't be a lot of demand driving the price higher :p
