WOW! Those things look so much better in hand than they did in the stock pictures, or whatever. Strafe, Slug and Scorn don't have too many unpainted translucent parts and even though Grimlock and Slog do, they actually look nice. Kinda like they're made of crystals. It reminded me why I like the look of TF made out of translucent plastic so much. The main problem is that's something that shouldn't be the only option for a complete set of movie accurate Dinobots. I might still get the set anyway.

The Dinosaur modes look decent, but the robot modes look awful on most of them. I'm glad I decided to pass on this and get the retail versions

Crome and clear plastic....i don't see these aging well. I see a future "My dinobot broke[insert random joint here]" thread coming. The first pic of all of them in botmode standing together just looks like a shiny mess. Its hard to tell where some of them start and end.

The more I see (and the more I wait), the less I want.

This set really does look awful. The proto shots looked way better.

Glad I got the SDCC set as that will be the definitive version of AOE Dinobots for me.

man that brushed metal looks so damn good.. if only they had used more of that with chrome accents, these would've looked great.. but as usual for the AOE line, it just doesn't look cohesive. oh well.. maybe we'll get better dinobot figures in the future... ones where slug doesn't look like the size of a dog compared to prime.

I don't like the chrome parts but I do like the bruched metal parts.
The previous version of dinobots are like skittles, this version is more movie accurate painting.
Though my photos are not as good as promotion shots, but the once you got yours, maybe it can turn your thoughts.

Clear plastic parts indeed need more concern....
In 1998~2000 there was a BANDAI toy line "Dinozone" which used many clear parts, and many of my collection are broken without any external forces. It just breaks on the display shelf..

I prefer the retail dinobots a lot more than these, the five pack ones look really bland IMO.

Only wish all the parts were brushed metal rather than a mix of that plus chrome and translucent plastic. It makes all the figures very busy looking to the eyes. That and including Snarl with the group.

Even tho I am in love with the Dinobot 5pack I am not paying $200 for these after shipping.I just wish my damn Walmart would get Slog and Snarl so I can complete my Movie Dino Set,but sadly I don't think Wally World plans on restocking anymore AOE figs.If Target gets anymore on there website I might order them when I get some more money.

Well I really don't like Grimlock. Strafe looks a little less cool here (although I think I still like him). I think I still want the set. I definitely want Slug and Scorn. The only question is do I wait and see if somebody parts out sets on ebay or get the whole thing?

I got BB from united this way and Slug and Snarl from the SDCC this way.

I'll probably do the whole thing.
