Found in TRU today by Saber Crusher for £129.99.

    UK Sightings Post 40334

This is a MASSIVE moment for UK fans: Blaster and Perceptor have never been released in the UK before! They were missing in 1985 and, to the best of my knowledge, neither of their Hasbro reissues came out here. Steeljaw, Eject and Ramhorn were sold here as grey imports in the early 90s but they too have never had an official release here before.

Huh? More expensive than an import. Duh.

Wonder if the Seeker set next to it is just as extortionate.

    How much?

    Fuck off TRU. Thats disgusting.

I'll choose to ignore this 'momentous occasion'. On the basis of being a piss take ripoff. When buying something from an import store AFTER a markup has been added is cheaper than buying a retail you know the system is broken.

If any of the non UK peeps who skewed our Hasbro UK survey want to buy any of these for us it would be greatly appreciated.

That price is just obscene. This is why I don't buy Transformers at retail any more.

Finally some good news about Blaster & Perceptor is out in the UK,usually that means 2 weeks to a month when UK's Cousins to the West (Americans) start getting them,I hope Target gets plenty of these instock,I have a feeling these are gonna fly off the shelf, along with Trypticon too.

But WOW I am surprised by how much they are over there in England, that is like $40 more I think, tho I don't always check what currency converters are, maybe more, maybe less.I really hate how the UK has some of the highest prices.Later UKers.

Hardly good news for us. I have absolutely no idea who will spend this kind of money on these.

It works out at $200 for these at retail. Thats insane.

It's a very nice set with a crazy price tag. But as with TRU UK's recent approach to collector aimed TFs they don't sell and then the prices are slashed hard.

I'm not sure how big a market there is for these style of releases. You'd think most older fans who wanted these figures would already have them in one shape or another and the younger G1 fans are more interested in the contemporary engineered high end market churning out G1 characters.

ToysaSaurus are greedy motherfluffers, simple as that. When they eventually "slash" their prices to proper retail, maybe they'll sell a few. This, Hasbro UK, is why the market seems poor in the UK. Because even importing and paying customs and excise on your toys is cheaper than going domestic! What the actual flip?

    Oy vey.

Oh TRU you naughty scamps you with your jokes and your japes and your upside down currency conversions. Nice try.

I might get a set for nostalgia's sake when they hit £20 in 2018.

    Maybe.
