I'm just going to treat this giant dude like a new character lol. It's not much of a challenge to justify buying another dinosaur robot.
Hopefully it comes out in January. I've waited so long for an IDW Grimlock
Everyone's gunning for the PO. Then the price is revealed and I think there will be a lot of "speaking of which ... ".
Based on the price of Star Saber, who this fella is bigger than, I'd say we're looking at Gigapower prices.
Better be painted like em if that’s the case. Bare grey plastic will easily make me say nope.
You know when we found out he’s going to be “oversized” I was okay with it because
(1. Its Grimlock and he should be big, 2. He was kinda drawn in variation when it comes to size, 3. The figures looks too good to pass up and like Vulcan doesn’t sacrifice accuracy and “sleekness” and articulation in either mode)
While being a bit scared he’ll be too big and after seeing your photoshop comparison I’m totally fine with the size imo it’s big while not being absurdly big.
That's why I'm planning for a high price right from the start. Anything less than what I'm planning on will be a nice surprise, and around what I'm expecting won't disappoint me at all.
Balls to the wall, just assume $250 like GCreation AOE Grimlock and be done. Anything lower = relief. Can’t be annoyed with price if you anticipate huge cost at the onset. Big brain moves
Alas, I’m pretty sure nearly all PX boxes are designed after the figures’ chests.
I'm honestly expecting Cacus to be around $150-200, much like Kadmos and Ismenios. Though definitely around the higher end considering the size-up in comparison to the others.
I think one should remember that grimlock doesn't have wings, so you gotta factor that in. Who knows, maybe it'll be 170
I don't know if they would act on it, but it is probably worth sending a picture of the container to them on Facebook asking if they would do his box that way.
I mean, I remember once stating with such Con-viction that I would never own a non-Transforming Transformer. The very thought of such blasphemy was enough to make me cringe.
Then I caved and bought Flame Toys Tarn the second it was announced off the strength of my love for the character.
Now that an IDW Grimlock in his slightly derpy MTMTE Dino Head is being made, and at a scale where if it doesn't go well with current MMC scaled MTMTE figures...well, he can always go toe to toe with Flame Toys Tarn in bot mode when I want to change up the scenery.
As for price...i'm a lost cause, man
Don't anyone throw me a life preserver, just watch the sharks circle me and make bets on which limb gets bit off first
Hopefully he gets some flame effect parts
I mean, to be fair, with the recent popularity of the Hasbro Marvel Legends line, there are an abundance of 3rd party special effects options I'm sure we could all find that tailor to the best outcome. However, I agree that it would be sweet if they just packed that in for us.
While I would love some effect parts, I feel many fewer people would end up purvhasing this guy. He is already going to be expansive, atleast $160, so some might view the extras as price inflation, akin to that of TW-F09 and MP-44.
I mean, just look at my avatar...I have plenty of flame effects, lol. Good for me I guess
If the price turns out to be ridiculously high, I'll just have to cancel some preorders.
And maybe not eat for a week.
