The real issue was #FakeFans. 900 plus voted for Trypticon to be made, but supposedly less than 2/3rds bought it.

I have a copy, a unique one i.e. it's missing half a toe :)  But I still like it very much.

Strange. BBTS still has stock so I might pick one up. That design was my first introduction to the character, so that’s what I think of when I think of trypticon.

Was reading tfwiki on IDW Shockwave, and it occurs to me to have a Senator Shockwave out of this mold.
With correct head, Magnus color-scheme, and remolded wings. I would actually be satisfied really.

Ties with PX IDW subline as well I suppose

This is an awesome pic! I don't really want to collect another line, but these planet X releases are very good looking and tempting. They are just right in the middle of alien-looking <-(sweet spot)-> earthly-looking. Ugh, what to do? And the price is affordable compared to MP and 3P-MP scale, so even on pricing, they are in that sweet spot.

Will this be small enough to fit a legends collection as big bad bruiser type character?

I think the alt mode looks better in the video, but yeah not sure what to think of the scale since he's apparently as big as Grimlock.

I'm fine with Shocky being a big guy. Past versions have canonically kicked Megatron's ass when so inclined. I like the idea he doesn't because he's decided (if grudgingly) it's logical to let him manage things.

Man that vid convinced me. Sometimes PX can be mediocre, but when they do something well, they really hit it out of the park. This looks like one of those times and he's something I need. Pddly enough I actually really liked the original hasbro version, despite its flaws. Its just a great design.

One complaint is the eye. I wish it were a different color, its way too dark. Maybe a yellow or a pink or something really bright. \

Man its sad that the "War for Cybertron" moniker got passed onto something else. Its one of my favorite looks, alongside IDW. Id hate for it to be lost.

Thinking about picking this dude up! I'm in the USA; what stores or sellers would you recommend as a first-time PX buyer?

Big bad toy store. Most of the popular reviewers reccomend him. I used to buy from tfsource and had great customer service but others say that their prices are way too much.

Big bad toy store put a 50% discount on planet x ironhide and ratchet and I jumped on that deal as soon as I could and also they ended up selling PX Starscream for $60 on discount and i got that one too. Great packaging and delivery time.

Although now isn't an ideal time to buy things online due to the insane amount of usps package delays. Just search up usps 2020 delays and you'll see how crazy the warehouses are looking. Maybe after the holidays when things die down I'll get this one

Buy from Toy Dojo or The Chosen Prime, BBTS has slow as hell processing times and have a tendency to get figures like two to three months later than everyone else.

The Chosen Prime has been my go to in recent years. The price may be a touch higher than BBTS, but if you're pre-ordering they let you make payments at anytime (prior to release) so your wallet doesn't get slammed all at once whenever releases get around.

In multi-player this was the guy I played the most. Loved his alt-mode.
I waited and waited and waited for Planet X to make him. I didn't care about any of the other figures, but this one was on my must have list.
But it took them so damn long to get to him, and that game is now so far in my past that I just don't care anymore. :(
I am so bummed. I wish this had come out sooner.
