That might be fixable. Post more pics of the damage.

As for the $100 figure...Without going into a long rant about factory labor and such, human error = quality control. There's always quality control issues regardless of cost. Always check your figures soon as you get them in hand, transform a couple of times and check again. That way you can let whatever place you got it from know and get some replacement parts or a replacement figure.

Yeah I posted that after about 45 minutes of fiddling and I may have let the frustration spill over a bit too much. Good news is I got him transformed after reading your comment. The bad is that hinge that goes behind the feet is now held in by friction because the cover for the right side popped off completely. I’ll update with some pics in a bit when I work up the nerve to put him back in robot mode. It’s just the feet transformation that is probably gonna be the problem.

Worst case scenario you could eventually sell it as a junker for someone who needs it if they've broken a part on theirs, not very likely but you never know.

F in the chat for poor Grimmy

Indeed. Still now that he’s in Dino mode I get the excitement around it. Kinda think he should’ve come packaged in Dino mode tbh but it is what it is.
Oh no this bastards not going anywhere, at least not until a good replacement pops up (I’ve heard about mmc’s maybe canceled grimmy as well as PX’s IDW version so we’ll see).

I think I may have gotten a crack on my sword :(  I had the sword on my desk which got cluttered from lots of customizing things and somehow there was some micro scuffs on it so I used some polishing liquid to even it out for the most part and restored the shiny finish. But then I see these 2 weird lines on the sword. They're both curved scratches and appear exactly the same on either side of the sword. I was holding the sword in my hand and applying light pressure when polishing it, I didn't think the translucent plastic would crack.

On the back flat side of the sword, I see what also might be a continuation of the line/crack at the top at grey part right at that white sprue mark. It's not easy to see on camera. I am sad. I really liked this figure. Not sure what to do now about it??? Is this just the nature of translucent plastic?

If you notice, yours has more of a gloss finish. The regular has more of a flat matte finish. 20210115_124908.jpg

It exists, it's what you have. The regular version is bare plastic.

just wish mine didnt have a misassembled arm...its backwards and the screw is stripped so there is no way I can take it apart and fix it. I did get a refund on it from bbts but they never sent a label to ship it back...guess I could bore the screw out and then take the whole thing apart and sell as parts...just would have actually liked to have the complete set of px dinos.

Can you even still find the regular version for close to market price?

Yeah, I saw the pre-orders this morning and I've been wanting a Vulcan for years now. Trying to decide on if I should pull the trigger or not, and if so, which one.

It probably depends on if you like more paint on your figures. I do prefer more paint, so I would go for the metallic one. However, what I actually got is the G2 colored version because I wanted something different than the typical Grimlock.

G2 is sexy, but I'm more of a classic look kinda guy.

I've look, and maybe just missed them, but has anyone done any comparisons between regular and metallic?

I think, imho, if you're only getting vulcan, get the metallic. The colours are more in line with how he looked in the game. But if you already have the other dinobots, regular would be better since the group will look much more uniform with him in it

If you want to see a review of the metallic version, I believe jobbythehong reviewed it. Majority of the reviews of vulcan that are in English are of the regular variant

I don't currently have any of them, but this would probably start the collection. Didn't the others get metallic versions too?
