    Hey all,
I was inspired (after watching a Lazy Eyebrow video) to go ahead and take the plunge on a Creality Ender 3 V2 3D printer and start tinkering on it. One of the reasons I bought it was because I wanted to have a flex neck for my Planet X Neptune (Sludge) Dinobot - something that I wish PX had put in from the start (a la Fansproject Columpio).

Here is my progress after a bunch of revisions in designs (I think this is like revision 7 or 8 at this point). It doesn’t afford a huge amount of flexibility, but it is an improvement on the stock neck and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out so far! Comments / feedback are welcome and appreciated, especially if you have experience printing (I literally just bought my printer a week and a half ago)! 4EEF504F-FA90-409E-A1C4-29CEFE3C89F0.jpeg

Very nice! I think I'll want this for my Triton. Any plans to make the files available?

I second this, especially since I kinda messed up my Triton's neck after I wrongly thought I had figured out a way to make the neck secure better in robot mode.

3D design PX Neptune flex neck v2 | Tinkercad
I was just about to post up the files... but this site won't accept gcode. Not sure if posting the direct link here will work or not?

Edit: these should work for everyone:
3D design PX Neptune flex neck v2 | Tinkercad
3D design Ball and socket v2 | Tinkercad

There are two files - one for the ball and socket component, and one for the actual neck segments. You will also need to remove 1 pin (on Neptune) to be able to unscrew the neck and do the mod... and you will also need to source one additional tiny screw similar to the ones that are already in the stock neck.

I printed this with Kodak PLA Tough grey filament, and it came out pretty nicely, all things considered. Obviously a little cleanup / pruning of the parts is needed prior to assembly.

Will this even work for Triton? I didn't look yet to compare... hmm... now you got me wondering..

edit 2: I don’t think this will work on Triton (Paddles). But feel free to download the files and tinker around with it. Post up a solution if you figure something out! I’d love to see it!
