Well, it happened. Just started transforming my Planet X Jupiter back into robot mode, and the side panel for the leg completely snapped off. I'm thinking of getting the metallic version but I'm worried about all the paint chipping. Any help or any alternatives would be greatly appreciated IMG_20220826_113926.jpg

That sucks. I would maybe get him back into robot mode and try super gluing the piece on and maybe never transforming him again.

I have the metallic version and have never transformed him. I’m more worried about breakage than paint chipping. It seems the plastic Planet X uses is very brittle and prone to breaking. Which is too bad because the figure designs are very well done.

I have both versions. I'd advise against the metallic if you plan to transform it more than once or twice. It's a great looking display piece, but Planet X made no allowances for the altered tolerances of the added paint layers (which itself is solidly applied and not chip-prone.) Transformation is an utter beast compared to the original. I have two copies of the metallic and they're equally nerve-racking to mess with.

It's the pearlescent plastics. Looks great, beautiful satin sheen, but it's an inherently weak mix that can separate and discolor over time. Definitely not sunlight nor extreme temperature friendly.

Has anyone received their PX-10C metallic edition yet? I'm curious to see if it's any different from the previous PX-10B version.

Aight so this is my first experience with a Planet X fig but why has no reviewer mention the brittle plastic?? I saw a lot of people mentioning it here but it was only after i got mine.. little peg was already snapped off right out of the box.

Painted the eyes. Don't care about game accuracy. They got lost in the metallic deco.
