The metallic version is too blingy for my taste.

That's the same shoulder pad break I had on my Apollo version. Still haven't gotten around to fixing it since it's a rivet, not a screw. Anyone who had this mold and experienced a similar break at that shoulder pad connector have a good technique to fix it? Normally I would just pull the screw or pin and redrill it with a larger screw, but I'm not having much luck on mine. With Apollo, too, that affects how the armor works.

Has anyone bought the metallic edition Optimus yet? Thoughts?

Also debating if I wanna get it from robotkingdom for $79 or tfsource for $109. Tfsource has great customer service if there are any broken parts. I dunno about robotkingdom tho. Where are they based anyways?

Try bbts (big bad toy store) they are based in the US. Don’t support TFsources overpriced 3p items.

Tfsource and bbts both have him for the same price. So wait for bbts to have it in stock?

Also ooo their Mors/Starscream is $64?! While tfsource had it for $79. Ooowee I know what I'm gonna get now. Ever since I found out that Starscream can have his sniper rifle attach as a gun arm by flipping his forearm 180 and plugging it into his elbow I've been wanting to get it.

But anyways, would love to hear someone's opinion/comparison on metallic edition Jupiter once they get it.

Robot Kingdom is in China, and their prices don't include shipping. Typically I've found that the shipping from Robot Kingdom will put your total at around the same price you'll pay from the the US stores.

Same. I clicked to ship my stack right away; I had plenty of other stuff, I was just waiting for Iceman. UPS doesn't have an estimated delivery date for me yet, but considering that it's already at UPS hub in Carlisle, and that's basically a straight shot down the PA Turnpike and less than three hours from my local hub. There's a chance that tomorrow it goes from Carlisle to my hub, get sorted, then goes out for delivery Saturday.

UPS doesn't deliver Saturday (at least not using whatever method TFS went with) so I didn't get him until today. In-hand the metallic silver and blue paint is pretty nice, but the red is actually more of a gloss. Which, y'know, is still nice.

As good as the figure itself looks I'm not as fond of the accessories. While I think silver might possibly be more game-accurate for the path blaster it actually has less painted accents, and they're red now instead of blue (while red matches the concept art, blue is more in-game accurate). And I flat out don't know what they were thinking with the Matrix being silver and red instead of gold and blue.

Joint tolerances are all good. It'll look good in my Prime detolf.

I think the red on the path blaster is supposed to mimic the way each gun matches the character's primary color in the game. Also what does the matrix look like? Curious to see that silver and red

The lights on the path blaster are still blue in-game for Optimus. And regardless of color Planet X left a lot of them unpainted compared to the original version's.

AAFD53CF-D74B-47CA-9959-55692EE66ED9.jpeg Mine just came in! And yes, as previously noted the red is not really metallic but, it is painted and looks nice. The blue is VERY metallic, almost looks like anodized aluminum. Joints are good (elbows are really tight) although I don't think I would recommend transforming him.

I feel like the choice to not make the red as metallic as the blue works better in-hand. It maybe would have been a little too much. Pretty happy with the purchase.
