Cool. I'm glad they're doing heavy hitters and not shying away just because there were official versions. I had no interest in the Hasbro/Takara versions, so I really had no use for a FOC Perceptor if I didn't have an Optimus.

Now the only question is size and pricing. The sweet spot is definitely in that Voyager for $80-$100 range. That would put them out of scale with the Dinobots, but I don't really care. Deluxe for $60-$80 just isn't a comfortable value proposition for me.

The WFC version could come later, you never know. It would be cool if this Prime was MP-10 height but I don't know. I think Vulcan is only 9" so I guess he could be. Planet X Grimlock is way better than Hasbro so I'm sure the Starscream will be worth it

I was thinking the same thing. I'd rather see them do something that hasn't been tackled.

I'm probably skipping these. I'm happy for the people that want them, and happy for my wallet that PX is finally making something I don't want. Hopefully, they hit the Insecticons sooner or later.

I will say this - if the Guilty (or Second Chance, whoever - don't feel like looking it up) FOC coneheads look good and are the same size as PX's Seekers, that might sway me into getting all six. My decision making skills are pretty dumb sometimes.

    So, yeah, very torn here.

On the one hand, awesome that Planet X is continuing to make toys. And I love that they're sticking with the FOC designs.

But on the other hand, the Hasbro seeker mold is actually pretty good, if small at deluxe scale. (It's also the only version I own the complete seeker trio in.) And the FOC Prime design sucks. Hard.

Then back on the first hand again, PX seems to have a knack for finding awesome and largely elegant engineering solutions to create fantastic molds that will likely be awesome to look at and fun to transform.

    But the wallet weeps.

Still, I'll keep my eyes on these guys (and their Perceptor, who I'm definitely passing on). If the designs look good, I may bite just to support the company. And honestly, if anybody can make the Hasbro seeker somehow look bad, it will be Planet X. I'm not sure anybody can save that Prime design, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Yes. Waiting to see them fix Optimus' paunch belly. Go PX go!

Don't forget Paddles too. Though he is a retool he would still require time to produce. Of course we have no idea how long they have been working on these. They could already be in the prototype stage for all we know.

That is a good point. I just recently responded to someone who was asking why no one was making Voyager sized Seekers.

Yes, Second Chance is. They have FOC Prime, Shockwave, and a leader size Jetfire so far.

Do you happen to have a picture of IDW Guzzle?

I hope they go back to the concept art and don't focus on the actual game models too much.

Again, I think this is a smart move on PX's part. The problem with focusing only on figures that Hasbro hasn't tackled is that there are REASONS they weren't tackled (popularity, feasibility, etc.). Besides, PX's work so far outclasses the official releases that I'm surprised people are still trying to mix them together in a cohesive FOC display. It's like having a Star Wars display where Luke, Han, and Vader were represented by their vintage, 5POA Kenner incarnations and the cantina aliens were all modern 3-3/4" Black Series figures.

Im more interested to see what they name Optimus. Seeing as how they seem to be going for Roman mythology, its a tough one. Hercules doesnt suit him, nor does Jupiter. Apollo maybe, or even Virtus. There is a Pax but that might be too close.

I would rather see some more of the Autobot jets done in their actual FoC versions. Air Raid was awesome looking, but then became a remold of Shockwave. Jetfire, Silverbolt, and of the others.

Time to sell off the official Prime. Don't have Starscream, so that's an easy buy.

So Prime's gonna be a tall deluxe? 'Cause I'm looking for a voyager at least. :'(
Welp, fortunately we've got Second Chance, too.

Definitely getting Optimus and hope PX an pull off the wheel-to-the-back transformation.

Though the silhouette looks a bit too skinny

I wonder are they gonna be in scale with their dinobots?
