Haha the other thread didn't have an answer for me, and it was mentioned here. Thought I'd try my luck and see if someone knew.

 

Last post on the other thread was July 2016. If there was an update, it would have been there.

 

I'm guessing that company is dead. They haven't done anything after their Shockwave was met with C- reviews.

Same thing that happens to most of Guilty's projects: never gets completed. Tis a shame too. That Guilty rendition had potential to give PX a run for their $$.

 

That's what I was thinking. Other than the head sculpt it looks a lot more game accurate in my opinion.

 

I'm so upset that they aren't making a new figure for Magnus. FOC Magnus and Optimus look nothing alike in robot and Vehicle modes. Planet X has NAILED this series so far and for them to Cop out like this really makes me sad  

 

Rexi, Guilty Concepts never commissioned a FoC Shockwave. Might you be confusing them with Second Chance?

Completely new, accurate in both modes = a buy. This add-on = not getting my money. I like to play with my figs and I don't need another prime i clip shit onto. To those who like it, more power to you!

 

What if the add-on pieces are integrated though? Imagine that.

 

No way, all the addons seem to clip on the upper part of the vehicle in alt mode and yet in bot mode, you see attachments on the leg. No this is a partsformer through and through.

 

And it's fine that you like that concept.

But this is supposed to be FOC Ultra Magnus. You know, NOT an Armor-up bot. Magnus has his own design in FOC. This isn't top notch because it's NOT the Magnus this is supposed to represent.

 

Unless it performs some miracle of origami there's no way it doesn't partsform. The chest piece in robot mode is fake and forms the trunk of the vehicle, where as the front of the vehicle folds up to be the heels in robot mode.

 

Anything is possible. You just have to beliiiiieeeve!

 

Yeah, looking at bot mode and alt mode, it looks outright impossible for this not to have a parts-forming transformation. Add to that the fact that the alt mode barely resembles FoC Ultra Magnus (who looks nothing like Prime in the game) and I have serious doubts about getting this figure.

Which really sucks, because just about everything PX has made has looked very accurate to the game (sans Paddles for obvious reasons). And the details still look great here, it's just, it looks more like Prime's going as Magnus for Halloween. Which would be fine for G1, but not FoC. This really should have been a new mold, or at least an extensive retool.
