    I think a gritty Zack snyder movie would bore most audiences. His DC movies are okay but it seems like the Marvel movies are way more popular. Id say it is because they allow themselves to have a sense of humor. I think that is what was so great about the 80s transformers cartoon, the humor and fun. For a realy successful transformers movie, they need to balance the fun and the plot. Gritty/serious and brightly colored alien robot cars would likely be too rediculous for most people to watch. Just my opinion.

    Comics are different from movies/tv in my opinion. Making them complex and adding more dark concepts works better with comics because you can reread and flip back to a page if you missed something. It also goes at your own pace. I don't think it is as easy to do that successfully in a movie because going to the theater to watch an action movie usually doesn't mean analysizing specific details that may or may not pop up later. I think comics are a great medium for those kinds of stories though. Blockbuster action movies? Probably not.

    Not in a theater. :lol  Besides that, I know if I have to rewatch a movie multiple times to understand it; I am not going to enjoy it.

    Well if the story is just silly stuff, it gets tiring pretty quickly specially in movie length
