I had some spare cash at the local Hobbytown, and found one of my favorite model kits available on clearance: the 1/144 HGAC Leo model kit. Right next to it was the also on clearance Skull Weapon add on kit. Inspiration struck, and this is what resulted... First, the painting. The standard Leo was an olive green, and I wanted something different. While I wound up basing the paint scheme off the Flint from Crossbone Gundam... the purple Leo is also a Space version of the Leo in canon. Go figure. Still, I decided to use some gold highlights to make a bigger difference, and the black shoulder helps. Further, the pirate equipment is the big difference. I also scrapped the twin derringer pistols that came with the Skull Weapon kit. I wasn’t going to use them, and I already had them from an earlier Skull Weapon purcahse. However, the skulls found on those guns made for some excellent theme decoration. I put one on the chest, as seen above, and one on the purple shoulder armor. Another is on the rifle. I also decided to make the quad manipulator arms uneven. The lower arms are extra short, acting as holsters for the rifle and main sword. This allows for... Extra stabby melee mode. As you can notice, the shoulder shield can also be changed to the forearm, because I love modular equipment. I also glued on an extra sheath for a third knife that has different painting just because I wanted him to have more than enough equipment. I had a lot of fun with this one.
