Not real interested in any of these. Bummer, I was looking forward to Airachnid. Sad that the two I was most looking forward to- her and Knockout- wound up so uninspired. I do like that design for Magnus, though, if not the scale. A big-ass toy of that would be hard to pass on.

 

So disappointed that Magnus isn't a redeco of Prime.

Crazy, I know, but considering we haven't gotten a single real redeco of an Optimus Prime in four years, I thought it was the best chance we had. I just wish Hasbro wasn't deathly afraid of releasing an OP mold in anything but the same color scheme over and over again.

Plus, given the fact that Optimus Maximus was designed to have Cyberverse Prime in its cockpit, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to have an armored up Ultra Magnus (just give OM a new head) with a white Prime inside it.

 

Didn't Dark of the Moon have a few Prime repaints?

 

Wish I had these brochures for my collection. Airachnid looks amazing. The Decepticons are such bad ass!

 

Has anyone figured out what catalog these pictures came from? It's clearly an Asian publication, but I've heard nothing about a name or location.

Really? I'm not feelin' it. Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't that. Something about the bot mode arms. Maybe it's just the pic.

 

I wouldn't be surprised. Hasbro's stock photographers have...not exactly done much to inspire confidence in them lately.

 

So can Airachnid transform into spider as well??

 

I suppose another deluxe Bumblebee was inevitable, but I was really hoping he'd get a little break. How foolish of me! I guess hoping for a different mold would be too much.

 

Ultra Magnus sure spot a similar look to the Animated version.

 

Yay for mysterious member of the design team the has a hard-on for Quickstrike. Two toy series in a row! Fingers crossed for Generations Quickstrike.

Airachnid looks good, but is going to be nowhere near impressive in person. Judging by the photography, she's about as big as Arcee, which is just not as imposing as I'd want the character to be.

That's the one thing that's depressing about the Prime line- figures don't have the proportions of their show counterparts.

 

I love the way this Airachid looks, SURE she could have been way better, no doubt, but for what we got, it could have been worse (thought that isnt a reason to not do better next time HASBRO!) I understand what you mean about being imposing, but that really only comes down to her propellers/spider legs, the one thing we all knew they would have a problem with.

Airachid is way shorter than any of the other decepticons in the shows, and that makes her pretty much Arcee's size (the legs are the only thing that really add to her ... IMPOSING factor), so gotta say, I'm with everyone who says a 3rd party should update the legs/propellers. It didn't take too long for someone to give Wheeljack a grenade and new faces (and who was really asking for that anyways?)

Honestly man, check out the show... the outsides of her arms actually look JUST like that. It's creepy.

OVerall, I'm just VERY impressed by the aesthetic of it... especially the face and "dem hips". IF they can fit in a fanservice spider mode (don't see it in any way possible from that mold), it'd be a 10/10 deluxe.

 

Loving all 3 so far.
Will probably skip Deadend, not sure. Will need to see him close up first.
Airachnid is a bought on sight.
Ultra Magnus is AWESOME! Just a shame he's only commander scale. I'd love to get my hands on a voyager or leader scale version.

I gotta say, so far between these guys and Ironhide. I'm excited to have a prime shelf with what seems like a G1 cast in new stylings.

Flamewar looks delicious too. Can't wait to get her for my halo megabloks to ride like they are Arcee now.
