I disagree. MP-10 is the Prime of all Primes. Buster Prime is very impressive, yes, and I love mine, but he is not the same perfection that is needed for a true Masterpiece at no fault of his own; the design is just too complicated to make a perfect MP-quality toy. When he's standing next to MP-10, he just looks out of place.
Things like the imperfect swords (both versions have things wrong with them), the unarticulated hands and the bigass back battery pack are also factors that separate it from the Masterpiece line.
MP10 is a Masterpiece, Buster Prime is just the best figure in the Movie line.

 

Wow. They may as well made this the 3rd movie masterpiece toy. Looks amazing next to Hasbro MP10. However, as I said before, it could be better.Those unpainted hands are terrible, and it still baffles me that they didn't pinstripe the shield's flames. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to own one some day if I can find a deal on one. Choosing between this and Hasbro MP10 was a struggle, because even though I end up with something amazing either way, I also end up missing out on something amazing  

 

So glad I preordered him. He's purdy!

 

well, shit... now I'm gonna have to get that. The toy is pretty rad and the packaging is GORGEOUS.  

 

This version of Striker Optimus sucks IMO. I have the other version with the darker shades of blue and red, and it has a darker gray robotic scheme that actually looks pretty good. This one looks too cheesy.

 

Sooo glad I have him preordered i already have a special place saved for him on the shelf near Buster

 

Also, a few Brawls and a Starscream with the MPM paint AND tattoos.

Like I said, he's extremely close to being MP worthy.


1)Articulated hands
2)Ditch the battery backpack and make things neater back there.
3)Horrible red block for a neck
4)Either through tinting or reengineering, make his chest behind his windows look better.
5)Either red paint, or a more pleasing red plastic. The red plastic looks very toyish and really is sub par to the MP line.
6)If possible (and I'm really nit picking now) do something slightly less clunky with forearms/hood (I'd be fine if they didn't).
7)More chrome wouldn't hurt. Is it possible to pull the shoulders in closer on the body.
8)Doesn't need a trailer to be MP, but that would just totally put it over the top.

It's just a bunch of little things.

It's a fantastic toy, but MP's have always been just a touch better.

 

Can't wait to get my hands on this guy will be my 3rd version of this mold. Buster i have misb, regular leader is loose with his ufo shield and arm blade out, not sure how I'll display this one yet. Btw, I'm all for more of these. I have the Movie MP leader SS with the add on kit and I really like him. Would love a Leader SP given the Asian treatment but for these to really be MP worthy articulated hands are a must.

 

wow, i cant beleive that folks are goin batty for yet ANOTHER op toy. i mean sure he is the leader and all but c'mon! HOW many toys have they released now using the SAME mold?? 2? 3? i just dont get it, and wont get it. its nowhere near mp quality, like people think it is. and its just like mp sunstorm, give a toy a couple of new gimmicks and new paint and people lose their minds. this just looks like a fancy, overpriced bayverse toy thatll never see the inside of my house or anyone else that i know. so please stop re-releasing toys that everybody already has. furthermore, please dont jump down my throat because i dont like this toy lol, this is my opinion and thats what these boards are for... i just wanna see toys that are new and fresh, not re-re-re-releases. meh...

 

1) Infer that people who own multiple iterations of the toy have a mental impairment.

I have buster beside my mps and he is totally mp quality the only thing missing are the articulated fingers. I use to think buster was just a leader class with better paint but when u see it in person the paint really puts it on another level then the leader class
