Currently, the images are only available as ZIP files, which I had problems downloading (eventually had to use the GetRight browser to access them). THS-02 was the only TF-related Takara toy on display, the others were MP-B02 Dragon Kaiser and some Microman stuff.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Fan to Fan and/or Autobase Aichi put up their own photos later today.

 

I think the truck mode looks worse than before, and the mouth place looks a little off. But other than that it's still pretty hot and I'm still getting one. It's like Robot Masters meet Masterpiece. But not.

I dunno whether to be happy this guy's coming out or sad that I'm gonna eventually have two perfect G1 Optimus Primes.

 

I'm gonna be so poor this year. Micromen? ALL of them kick ass. The Acroyears all look awesome. Asuka and Rei are SO bought. Hell, even the Ryukendo stuff is enticing. I want to get them too. The DX Scopedog is amazing. Love the worn look on the feet and all over the body. Kinda miffed that it comes with a Chirico, though, as I'd already bought one in preparation of buying the Scopedog. I didn't know it came with him. Still it'll be nice to have one to display and one actually in the Scopedog.

Dragonkaiser looks better and better everytime I see it. And Great Exkaiser makes me wet myself with glee.

Great Goldran looks COMPLETELY awesome, even if he is a brick. This one looks SO much better than its original release. Amazing what a bit more chrome can do for a toy >_>

Oh...and Convoy. He looks just about the right size to display with my Braves without being too badly out of scale, so that is where he shall go. He looks better everytime I see him too, but yeah..the truck mode is a bit crappy.

Hundred and hundreds of dollars out the window, right there. I need to start drawing more to earn me some moolah.

 

I don't see how anyone would call that fat robot mode or that so-called "truck mode" even remotely "perfect".

 

Is there any word on this coming stateside? I'm wondering if Hasbro could be bringing this in as the optimus for the classics line.

Is it the rights size?

I wish I could make my mind up on this guy. Every time I see new pictures of him it completely changes my opinion. The last set really made me hate his tiny head and fat body, but now he looks more proportional. This is all very confusing.

At least the alt mode is consistently ass.

Don't dig it nearly enough to warrent me buying it. The alt mode is pretty meh and not so crazy on the bot mode.

 

No, this isn't the Classics Prime. This guy is tiny, about three or four inches tall in bot mode.

 

You want to know how someone could call that perfect?

Because it is there own choice and it is there own opinion.
You would do well to remember that in future.

Personally I like it, and will be picking it up when it's released.

 

I woudln't necessarily call him "fat". I mean, his robot mode is wide, but it's not like his proportions are so off that he ranks up there with Energon Prime on the fat bot scale. He just needs a bigger head and the bot mode would look good for me.

But yeah, totally agree with you on the truck mode.

 

To me, THS-02 Convoy will pretty much be an Actionmaster. I absolutely love the robot mode and the generous amount of accessories, but I plan to never display it in its HORRIBLE alt mode.

 

I like it too but it's by no means perfect.

I think it's good. Way better than Robotmasters Convoy. A little small, but we'll see how that works. I do wish he were at least the size of the original Prime.

 

Actually, those pics made the figure look better to me. I have been thinking it looked pretty stupid, but I'm beginning to have second thoughts...

 

I'm torn...

On the one hand, this figure looks pretty damned cool...

On the other hand, if I get this, then I'd want to get THS-01 as well... And I really shouldn't pick up on another TF line since GF just ended...

Oof! Even with the front wheels in the proper postion, that alt mode still looks like a jalopy. Prime should see a doctor about that mutant windshield, It might be cancerous.

The alt mode does looke a little better than in previous picsm but still not remotely like any COE that's ever roamed the roads of this planet. So much for robots in disguise.

For some reason the bot mode doesn't look so great, this time around. Wasn't planning to get it, anyway.
