    I'm sure there's already a thread for this, but if not, I was hoping to start one.

    As a kid I had no idea that most of the 1984 Autobots were based on real life, one a kind cars. Thanks to the magic of the internet, I've seen Jazz and Wheeljack and Mirage in REAL life, in a way more amazing way than the Bay movies!

    I was wondering if anyone had a collection of pics of ALL of them. All of the Autobots based on real cars, cause it would be totally sweet to see them in one thread instead of having to search google images.

    If such a thread exists, please link a brother up!

    If not...let's do it here, shall we?

    Prowl was most likely based on the more popular 240Z Fairlady police cars. They seem to be more common than the 2nd generation 280ZX's.

    I once saw the Alternator/Binaltech Smokescreen car in my local Best Buy parking lot. Unfortunately that was before I had a camera that could take photos...

    Well, I read "All Autobots" though real life cars from a cartoon world would make sense.

    I'll leave it up for now, as I took these pictures myself, not something I found on Google.

    If it's a big deal, I'll take them down.

    I know the OP specified '84 Autobots, but maybe it's not a bad idea to make this an all-encompassing real-life alt mode thread.

    Those pics are amazing, especially the real-life Prowl.

    I'd love to see pics of the vehicles the Stunticons and Combaticons were based on, but unlike the '84-'85 Autobot cars, their color schemes aren't really based on anything used in real life. I don't think there's ever been a brown and black space shuttle, or a black and purple tractor trailer :)

    Man....can you imagine if someone actually managed to collect these cars in ONE place? That would blow my freaking mind.
