    Hey TFW,

I got a call last week from the guys at the local Ferrari dealership inviting me out to a private "lifestyle event" at their place. Basically it was an invite only event where they call people from around the region out to feed them, give them drinks, and show off stuff we like to play with. Cars, Boats, Planes, Helicopters, Guns, Watches, Cigars.... They forgot the Transformers darn-it. LOL.

I have been to a lot of events, but this one might take the cake. Might be one of the coolest events I have ever been to. And unlike other threads I have made that did not have pics, this time I thought ahead and brought my Nikon with me.

    Enjoy.

Two different things. As Chris Rock said...

    A Football Player is RICH.

The man who writes his checks, is WEALTHY.

    Some... sure.

Some of them though, like the Masarati GT's, are under $150k. You can get a used Gallardo Lambo for around $100k...

Still a lot for a car, I understand, but $1500 a month is not out of the realm of possibility for many, including I bet, many of the members here. You would be surprised who around you is successful enough to afford stuff. Just because they can, does not mean they will. :)

    Not everyone is flashy. :bay

As I took the pic of that Ford GT, I thought to myself, I hope someone mentions Alternators when I post these on TFW later... haha! :)

    Way to go!

Yeah, its pretty hard for me not to look at a car like that & not think of an associated Transformer, even though I was a car guy way before I was ever into Transformers. Well, I guess they kinda grew with me together, but still. For example, I saw Ironhide today, not just a Topkick, and a week before that I saw Pipes, not just a smaller cab forward truck.

    :thumb  Thats cool man.

I am super new to the TF hobby (a month now, yay!) but I am starting to look at cars like Transformers too, haha. I have been into full-size cars as my main hobby for 8 years now. I just love having fun.

While Uncle Sam is writing the paychecks, it's a bit out of my range :D

Still, those are some beautiful machines - I'd love to have been there and checked them out.

You know how long attaching images would take? HA!

On every (and I am on 10+) other forum I am on, attaching is disabled. For 10 years I have had to host any images I post on forums myself... so I am in the habit of it. I was very shocked to come to TFW and see all the hosted images here. Blew my mind a little.

Sorry about the long load times. I didnt wanna compress the images too much so you all could see the awesome detail.

Yeah, I was rather surprised to see that being allowed, let alone encouraged. Personally, I've got no problem waiting for images to load, as even when they do take time, I can always look at my other tabs in the meantime.

I have always therorized that such people exists... people that know things by toy names before real names. Now, I finally have confirmation that such people exist.

Of course, this weekend has been my first ever CON experience (of any kind outside of cars) and I am... ummm.... shocked. A little overwhelmed. Today I asked outloud in a CON who the hell " Felicia Day" was since a herd of Nerds was rushing to see her "Panel" (what the hell is a panel?). I thought I was about to be stabbed. "SHE IS FROM THE GUILD". I was like... "What is the Guild?". "ITS A SHOW ABOUT WOW". I was like... "Oh, that silly game? Never played it". Yeah... cons are odd places.

Im learning. Apparently I need to watch every TF toon ever, in USA and Japan, Serenity, Firefly, Battlestar Gallactica, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Doctor Who, The Guild, Dragonball Z and The Clone Wars animated series, among many, many others. Stargate and all kinds of other were also mentioned. Man... too much... too little time.
