Animated is hands down the best TF cartoon since the Beast era. The writing and acting are both top notch, and I really like the art style.

Second place is a tie between RiD and Cybertron. Cybertron is the dub of Galaxy Force, which was an awesome show, but it had some really weird issues pop up in the dubbing process (like every show in the Unicron trilogy). Mostly noticeably this includes the "silly accents from every land" voice acting. RiD was silly, but it was also really, really fun.

Armada is a distant fourth. It finished strong, but it had to wade through about thirty episodes of total crap to get there. The animation was really poor and the kids are some of the worse characters in all of the TF mythos.

Energon doesn't even rank. Total, total shit.

    1. G1
    2. Beast Wars
    3. Headmasters (for Rodimus)
    4. Animated (will probably end up in spot #3 after more eps)
    5. Armada (Unicron Battles only)
    6. Cybertron
    7. Energon (for Rodimus and Inferno, rest of it sucks)
    8. Beast Machines (destroyed it with the ending)
    9. RID
    10. Victory
    11. Masterforce
    Haven't seen the rest

    hmmm... hard to say.
Animated ranks highly in terms of story, though for the life of me, I really don't like the character design in terms of stylization all that much.

I like Energon in terms of character design and detail, RID was decent, Armada during its second half became much better, and I gave up on Cybertron after 13 or so episodes.

There are some quirks in Animated, but damn, I just LOVE Screamer. He really is his G1 persona reincarnated.

Between TFA, RiD, and A/E/C.....Animated by FAR.

Everything I've wanted in a long long time. Easily the best TF cartoon since Beast Wars.

Edit: If we're taking all of TF into account...

    2. TFTM 07
    3. Animated
    4. RiD

    2. Beast Wars
    3. RiD

Haven't seen much of the other shows to say much on them. Cybertron I did see most of, but it wasn't that good. G1 was better, but not by much.

Out of the recent choices you gave, I'd say Animated is first with me with Armada behind that. Really didn't end up liking Energon or Cybertron all that much. And for me, G1 and BW stands in a whole other category for me. A category of awesome.

In my book, Animated > A/E/C, maybe better than RiD, will have to see.

I'm going to say Animated even though we've only had three episodes so far put together into a "movie".

I don't know it's just this wonderful feel of things I loved from G1, things I love from Beast Wars, yet with enough new elements to make me excited about learning more about this new Transfomers world. Really the first time in who knows when that I've liked all the robot characters right from the get go.

I still think Armada is the best so far. But animated looks ok so far, but anything's better than Beast Machines.

    1- G1
    2- Beast Wars
    3- Cybertron

Energon didn't really interest me at all, and I stopped watching both RiD (I dig Ultra Magnus, Rail Racer and Landfill though) and Armada after a few episodes. Beast Machines was pretty much a pile of mixed nuts in my book.

I think I'd group in terms of animated series, Animated above RID. RID was pretty cool IMO, but if Animated can pull off well developed combiners and perhaps even a city bot, it'll beat RID even more in my books. But overall this is how I currently see it.

    1. Beast Wars
    2. Animated
    3. Beast Machines/G1
    4. R.I.D

As a show, Animated with only three shows under its belt is superior to the last 4 TF toons.

Toy-wise, Cyberton and RiD by a mile.

Above all of them is of course BW and G1.

Animated, but there are some key armada eps that are hard to not still love. And there's only one Galaxy Force ep I adore.

I need to see more animated before I can say it rocks more than starscream vs unicron, or Starscream's epic stand to get the 'omega lock'. But damn, that 'I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!' Comes darn close. It's like a feather away from all time best starscream scene ever.

Way way way waaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to say. 1 tripple-length episode Vs entire runs of other shows? I can't see how a comparison can be done.

    I will say this:
RID didn't really grab my interest although it didn't outright offend.
A.E.C. was wall-to-wall pain. Totally irredeemable from the humans to the animation models to the script to the story. Unwatchable.
Beast Wars was flat-out good TV. Ditto for Beast Machines.
G1 had plenty of pain, but the goodness of the characters, voice actors, and animation models saved it.

As for this new show... I'll just say I love what I see so far. Maybe it will be better than BW/BM...but that would be a tall order so I'm not counting on it. It will be better than A.E.C. because anything more enjoyable than a punch in the nose is better than A.E.C.

The question is if it will top G1.
