That is what I figure will happen. And most likely, I will buy both.

Wasn't Michael Bay's first cut of the movie rated R, because the action was so intense?

I'm REALLY hoping they have an ultimate edition this fall or Christmas, along with the bare-bones, that includes the theatrical release and Bay's R-rated cut, plus a host of special features. That'd be beyond perfect.

You know, sad as it may seem, I'm betting the "R" rating came from one too many curse words. Probably nothing pertaining to cut scenes...I hope. But if that's not the case...bring on the "R" rated version!!

As long as the additional footage involves more 'bots beating the crap out of each other, I'm all for a Director's Cut. Show me Barricade's death by Prime, show me more Megatron/Starscream banter, and show me more Autobot interaction. Just don't show me more human stuff. We've got enough of that already.

there were 2 occassions in which they say MotherFfff....... in the movie just like in Die Hard 4.0

I hope in the director's cut they complete their sentences

And plus I notice 2 lines and 1 specific scene was missing:

"That killer robot is really distracting"
"We're facing a technological civilization that is superior to our own. They could be anywhere"

And the specific scene that ws missing, was a trailer shot of Starscream in the air in robot mode, flailing his legs, while be shot be F22 Raptors in the city skyline. Believe me......I saw it 3 times, and that PARTICULAR moment was not there. They might've cut down the aerial battle short. But in the movie, it was mainly starscream taking out the jets but not the jets trying to take out starscream.

Maybe we can see what happened Barricade

That too AND also you're only allowed to drop only ONE F-Bomb in a PG-13 movie. Once you drop 2 or more F-Bombs, its automatically rated R

One thing I would love in a directors cut is when Optimus says "One shall stand one shall fall" we see Optimus say it instead of seeing Sam crawl through the mud.

Maybe this is like LoTr. In the third movie we never saw what hapen to Saruman. But the the special edition, we see him getting shot by Legolas. Maybe we will see what hapen to Barricade.

The fact that they didn't focus on Prime and Megs as the line was said was kind of bad. Yes Sam and the Allspark were/are important but the focus at the time was again Prime and Megatron. As much as I liked that line, the frame that it was said in kind a killed it.

    Check...
    ...and mate.

Especially online ones. If you really, really, really want to make as much of a difference as one consumer can, spend as much as you can on the franchise, especially going to see the movie and on whatever DVD they release first. Cash rules everything around you.

Oh, and for the helluva it, write a paper letter. That'll get significantly more attention, even if it still probably won't matter.

They got tired of it being flooded with johnny-come-latey movie fans and started treating every unfamiliar nick with quick-shot "RTFM" responses.

    Believe me, I've noticed too.
