Berg should know that directing a movie is a business. You win some and you lose some.

 

He could have a losing record like...M Night Shamalamadingdong. He should be happy!

I think I can sum up my feelings for Mr. Berg's...disappointment with Battleship's failure:

Why he blame team of Superheroes who faces a Evil God,and army of Aliens. Battleship in the other hand had well Leim Nelson that pretty much it.

I think one more reason for Battleship's failure is that it was yet another generic alien invasion flick, which Hollywood has been churning out left and right the last few years. Moviegoers just finally said "no more".

 

Dear Peter Berg, Hasbro, the movie studios & distributors,

You just made an action movie about, of all things, a fucking board game... that promoted the name "Transformers" in every trailer on every poster almost more than the name of the actual movie itself. Starring Rhianna. Uhmm...

Please Peter Berg, just give your sequel money to Marvel/Disney and say you were at least in some indirect way, part of a great movie that did well.

I haaaaated Battleship, the entire time I was asking just what the hell was with some of these choices. Spinning chainsaw balls? Really?

 

I still can't believe he was in it.....He was my hero in Hollywood Actors.

If you offer someone enough money they would show up in a muppet outfit and quote Peewee Herman. I'm sure he got a reasonably large check for his part in the film.

People were hyping the avengers for 4 years and it came out a week before. Most people seen battleship and thought transformers knock off. I personally though battleship should have been a comedy with lil bits of action.

 

Their logic seems legit.
