Perhaps a, Plus line or Ultimate toy line is the answer.

Speak for yourself. One of the reasons I'm buying a lot less is the decrease of "stupid gimmicks" in CHUG in recent years. I actually PLAY with my toys, thank you very much!

I'll take a figure with a well-implemented gimmick over one that just goes from robot to vehicle any day.

The answer to exactly what? You are still not content with the Generation 1 accurate, and in Scale toys that were released for the past 2 years?

So you want an "Advanced" CHUG toy line that basically gives Hasbro the excuse to remake every 1984 to 1986 character for like the fifth time?!

Round 1: Classics, Universe, Reveal The Shield, and Generations
    Round 2: Prime Wars Trilogy
    Round 2.5: Siege
    Round 3: Earthrise, and Kingdom
Round 4: Studio Series 86 (Not yet, but come on! We all know they will do it eventually...)
    Round 5: ?

Oh God! When does this even end?!!!

If my understanding is correct, Hasbro has a Marketing Team that works very closely together with their Design Team to decide on which characters get released. One of the reasons why the 1984 to 1986 characters keep getting remade is because they always need have some of them on shelves for reasons like,

    1. They know that people recognise these Core characters, and they sell well enough
    2. Retailers may not want to stock obscure characters
    3. Legally, it is also important to consistently sell products of their core characters so that they are able to keep their Trademarked names

Therefore, yes, I think that if Hasbro does indeed introduce an "Advanced" CHUG toy line, the 1984 to 1986 characters will definitely be remade again with little to moderate sprinklers of the characters that you actually want.

If anything, the Legacy toy line is a good step forward to getting more variety of characters, as they are able to use the same characters from their different multiverses, and release different toys of them. In this case, we are able to get more than just G1 variants.

Problems I see is some of the newer Gimmicks Hasbro created seem to have potential. But get ruined by cheap budget decisions.

Weaponizers had potential had they created Weaponizers also in the Voyager size class. As most k know already, Deluxe Weaponizers broken up parts look too small attached the Voyagers, Leaders and Titans.

Not including Powermasters in the TR toy line. that had Headmasters and Targetmasters was another Cheap budget mistake. Sadly TR toys like Overlord and PMOP needed there powermasters. Darkwing and Dreadwind needed Powermasters also.

No, most of them are way too small.

I want update toys in the Nine inch robot height.

More Commander class toys released each year. I need 3-4 release each rear. In the 12 inch tall robot height.

Kingdom Commander class Rodimus was a epic failure as it was too small.

Not everyone likes there update TF new toys only at 7 inch robot height and below.

Clearly there is a gap between CHUG and MP. Not everyone can affford those MP TF toy prices. So let's fill it with a plus or Ultimate TF toy line. Where fans get 12 inch tall robot toys. and NIne inch tall robot toys.

Not sure if a plus/ultimate line is the answer. Unless it's something completely different. Something like Alt/Bt for realistic, scaled altmodes with robotmodes that are both G1 (the most collector aimed era) and highly detailed. Would there be a sufficient market for this? I kind of doubt it

For the mainline I do miss the differences we used to have between the TT and the Hasbro release. Having to import anyway, I often looked at what deco I preferred and then either bought the Hasbro or the TT version. Something we lost with the brand unification.

For MP I do wish TT would release two options at the same time. The same mould, but one in full on cartoon version and the other more toy based. Often this would be possible. For example Sunstreaker could've been released as is, and at the same time with a toy head and the shin detailing that were used on Cordon/Spin-Out. Likewise the upcoming Trailbreaker could come as is and as a black painted version with a toy head.

I feel like this is describing what MP used to be before it got crazy expensive.

Or what Hasbro was up to when it was releasing a Leader Class size versions of figures that didn’t need to be that scale…

I would happily pay a premium for a line of more expensive, lower print run, DEEP cuts since they are a higher risk...Mostly the original characters from 1987-1996.

But a premium line is almost assuredly going to end up being 84-86 over again and man, even as a G1-er I am totally done with that!

    Answer to what exactly?

Edit--mp going the route of hyper.toon fidelity? Being three times or more as expensive as they were? Just want to define the terms and questions presented.

The newest one shown off as the "Electroplating" Version. It's coming out around the same time and with the double-jointed arms of the Marvel repaint.
