Stuff like this makes me wanna cry. These are leaps and bounds better than the Arcee Product that was out but damn. I still cant get with the price. They are both awesome.

Ahh, that explains why Hasbro decided to make toys of two relatively obscure characters they previously had no inclination of doing.

Hasbro has sought to implement new Triple Changers for years.

These toys are awesome, but am I the only one who is worried that Hasbro will come down hard on this guy for copyright infringement, especially after their recent announcement to the Customizing community? Isn't this what Hasbro is trying to stop, mass production of their Intellectual Property? Octane may be the exception, though, since Hasbro no longer holds the rights to that name.

Or maybe this guy has a deal with Hasbro that I don't know about, since I cant read Japanese. These are still awesome toys, though.

I was wondering the same thing. It's probably just a really weird coincidence, since as someone mentioned these were in the works way before Universe 2.0 was a gleam in Hasbro's eye. As for Hasbro trying to get the jump on them and releasing their own versions, I just can't see a mega-corporation like Hasbro feeling even remotely threatened by a super-limited, homemade model kit available only at a Japanese convention.

But then, they did just issue that statement to kitbashers about selling their customs... so I guess they DO keep an eye on the small-fry competitors in the market.

So I don't know... maybe it was just random chance that led to both parties producing these two semi-obscure, C-level characters (I love Powerglide and all, but I can't argue that he's anything other than a C-level character). Or maybe they had a lot of Universe ideas on the table, and the existence of the JizaiToys models just put Powerglide and Octane over the top.

As for the mold itself, boy, I would LOVE to get my hands on it... even if I have to assemble and paint it myself. I'd pay the at-con cost for it, but I have a feeling that for us outside-of-Japan folks the cost will inflate quite a bit even beyond that. :(

I kinds wish this is what Classics would have been. A Re-engineeering of the G1 designs and figures, not a loose design with similar head molds and alt modes that classics has become.

And while customs are great, I am not a fan of people selling unlicensed Hasbro IP because usually those people who do so are scum and take our money by promising awesome things and never deliver.

Not saying jizaitoys is, but the fandom has a history of problems with these things.

The price is more than I am willing to pay for sure, but it really is nice work. Even Wheelie.

    Wheelie has a slingshot? SOLD!

Plus Wheelie made Daniel his bitch in the Headmaster's storyline.

Also the Octane, Powerglide, and Cyclonus are HOT.

That would help me out. I'd be able to flat out quit collecting because these look goofy as hell.

I can't imagine a universe where these look "goofy as hell". They are perfect cartoon-likeness updates of what were crappy brick toys. The originals didn't even look like the cartoon models in most cases, yet these little bits of magical engineering are goofy?

The ORIGINALS were the goofy ones.

They call that line "Master Piece". With their size, they are way more worth $100.

(Not saying I dont agree with you though)

Not to start an argument here ('cause I actually quite like the original toys, these, AND the new Classics.... I'm easy to please) but can't both those things be true?

I mean, maybe the original cartoon designs were... uh...

    ...a little bit goofy?

    :D

I would drop $100.00 in a heart beat for Powerglide.
