I am going to get this figure in a few months, then next year I will get Planet X Ismenios, because I think these are the best dragon figures out there, since I feel that a figures beast (animal) mode should be larger than their bot mode. I am wondering as to when a company will make a proper (quadrupedal, these figures being bipedal [Dragons have four legs and wings, wyverns have only two legs and will either crawl on all fours {Drogon, Smaug, Hookfang} or walk on their legs {Stormfly, Baby Viserion}]) Preferably one with a mostly black color scheme, complemented with red, highlighted with gold, silver teeth, and green eyes ........., AND a blue light up mouth to act as an energy blast. That last part was just me wishing, or at least until I learn to paint properly. Unless they not only do a Cryotech repaint, but also a Xerxes-like repaint (though seeing as how they are releasing a Nemesis Gorira, I feel like they are just going to do a purple t-rex Megatron repaint).

 

Wait for TFC to release their Hun-gurr and then you will have your big quadrupedal two headed dragon!

 

Tfc’s doesn’t look great so far in my opinion

 

Give them time, Hun-gurr may look better as they improve on the design.

 

I love the design TFC is going for, i love the updated not strictly g1 design they did with seacons and now the terrorcons, i'd love for tfc to take this aesthetic and make the horrocons with it in voyager size next, it be awesome if they updated the combiner head with oni or ogre like teeth to go with his more beast like components

Oh and something I noticed last night, MD just his wings just absorb light, those things really stand out in the dark

 

Well I think Iron Factory Heat Death would be even closer, but still not what I am looking for.

 

wow!!! Thanks for the full review! I've decided to buy him after your review. You're right about that. Maybe some reviewers are just nitpicking too much. I've never been a beast wars fan but this figure just looks so awesome. I'm actually thinking of double dipping on a ko.

 

I'm hoping the KO version comes out soon. I'm just not willing to drop that kind of money for a toy that doesn't look premium. It looks awesome, however

Exactly my thinking, this thing looks awesome, it looks like a statue in some poses. I haven't picked up one yet because I wonder what the repaint will be.

I’m pretty sure your KO copy won’t be premium at all. In hand this guy blows away any official figure in the paint department. He’s worth the money .

 

A stealth version would look even better, in my opinion.

 

The neoart toys kos of leonidas are just as premium if not moreso than the perfect effect versions

 

Oh trust me, this guy is premium compared to some of the official stuff on the market now
