does anyone have a comparison pic of fully armored jetpower optimus with TR Powermaster Optimus

It's Prime Time! Figure came in the mail from TFSOURCE a few days early.



MS-01 and LaHire were in the same shipment as JP Prime, but I'm more compelled to compare it to Thunder Manus.. which I will do later.

 

Is this still worth it even if you grabbed DOTM Studio Prime? I do like the aesthetic...

 

I'd still get DoTM Prime but got to find it first. Jetpower Prime is certainly a unique take of Ginrai on "Prime" Steroids...



I need to decide which style of Autobrands it gets.

and speaking of which, it's not a bad comparison between Maketoys Thunder Manus, with its Divine Armor.

but seriously, if you discount the Striker Manus like lower leg extensions, but more compact and designed to bolster the core robot's proportions instead of tacking on stilts, The way the chest panel folds over and down, shoulder attachments, forearms, etc. Not to mention the whole Trailer Becomes Armor gimmick that's inherently Powermaster.



It's incredibly well made in this form and I haven't even tried transforming it.

I understand, as was pointed out otherwise here, it's retooled from their Jinrai core robot, but it seems to have enough new going on to be a fun figure.

 

There's enough going on that you can't even tell it used to be something else, but again this a case of "matching the mechanics" but the molding in entirely new.

 

Yeah, gunna need a set of G2 labels from Reprolabels

 

Kinda hoping if they do a Nemesis repaint they skip the flames and make the big blaster cannon convertible into a gatling cannon for variety, like how Cryomorph had that extra face mask.

emgo proved that the Ginrai corebot can actually wear the Jetfire component:

 

it more shares engineering than a retool. on Emgos review it really only looks like the same parts are the wheels.

Only had about 2 seconds to check him out. Right out of the box he looks and feels pretty awesome. Loving all the paint! I was on the fence with this guy since it kinda an odd ball product but really glad I pulled the trigger. He will go well displayed with my metallic striker manus, the other odd ball prime in my collection.

Just got back home and found that he murdered SS05 and stole his Energon swords while I was gone...

 

Dammit, I told myself I had enough Optimi, no more Optimi. But this figure is breaking my resolve.

 

Making it really hard to resist. But my resolve holds

Though if PE announces a Nemesis version, I'll waver and order one.

 

That makes me think about getting the nemesis jinrai to wear the armor when this guy isn’t. That way I can enjoy the core bot and not have a bunch of parts or a trailer just sittin’ around doing nothing.

 

But if they announce a Nemesis version, I'll wind up with two.

Please don't do this to me.
