YAAAAAAAAAA lol my pc-21 and pc-23 was shiped out today
i just found out it should be here very shortly i live only 151 miles from the bbts
Perfect Effect or TCW for Volcanicus?
well the TCW-06 has not been released yet so just my pc-23 and pc-21 was hopeing the TCW-06 would of been ready befor i had to ship my stuff out but alas it didnt workout
Just out of curiosity, can someone take pics of what the Volcanicus upgrade kit looks like with stock Hasbro hands/feet?
I can! Sorry for the not-so-good quality:
Hope that helps!
The "official" pics show him with the CW port pointed inwards (so Grimlock's tail is facing outward). If you do that, can Snarl's tail still be closed like that in leg mode? Because I am not a fan at all of him forming a leg with the tail split open but I'm also a stickler for displaying combiners in "official" mode.
Honestly I would settle for someone releasing a few parts that would allow me to peg Grimlock's arms at his sides like this kit does without everything else. Because Volcanicus' shoulders are my biggest gripe overall.
Got mine in yesterday and other than removing the existing forearms from Grimlock, installation was very straight forward.
The new parts for Grimlock's robot mode legs were all I really want out of this set. I've still only seen the first test shots of the upgrades, but how does he look with the finished product?
just got my kit today yeah
Thanks. It's an impressive change, really adds to the individual bot much better than what was originally made.
I went with the Dreamwave set for the overall combined mode. only wish I could just get those leg parts.
the sword is totally massive . i also got the tcw-06 kit coming for some other parts i wanted
i got my kits in yesterday, and i can say, without ANY doubt in my mind... That this volcanicus is..
the Broly of autobot combiners! So bulky, So powerful! I even have a Slash on his back pointing at who to kill! I did however face that foot problem with the port being a bit too big, so a bit of sanding and it's good! the sword is... a masterpiece! So huge! For some reason, it didn't want to combine as instructed, so i slid the sword pieces in one at a time.
I also prefer the rocker ankles compared to the old balljoint on the feet (which i also just got yesterday, now adding future) so add another plus!
same problem with my sword i just loosen the screw on it and made it go much easer together.
there's a screw? *checks* holy crap, there's a screw! thanks!
your welcome . my sword was so tight from the screw i couldnt put it together at all felt like i might brake it so thats what prompted what i did and
(BINGO) worked like a charm
Any tips for getting Grimlock's original arms apart safely?
I always recommend picking up a precision screwdriver set with grooved, metal handles for any customization work. Even for just doing these kinds of upgrades. The sets are usually cheap, like $7-10 each.
You usually can get enough pressure down on the screw, and if need be, use a pair of pliers on the metal handle to give you additional leverage to "pop" the screw loose on that initial turn. That's always the hardest part to do without grinding the head away.
Yep! I've got the two screws on each arm out. The third, smaller screw from the illustrations appears to be imaginary, as it feels like I'm hitting smooth plastic at the bottom of the shaft. The halves seem to be glued together though, so I'm having some difficulty prying them apart.
