this is what I'm hoping. I want the transforming cab, but I don't want to lose the headmaster gimmick. Especially considering how nice the little TM ginrai is

Well whomever decides to make a cab bot, I hope it's cross-compatible with Hasbro. Not interested in getting the Takara version.

yeah, by boy loves the headmaster thing , so I want to get this for him but would like to keep the headmaster gimmick in place too for him as I imagine he would get a kick out of it being a headmaster and a powermaster

if that works with Ginrai, then im super happy with it, that looks great. The only problem with that one is it probably doesnt work with the other PE kits. if it did , then I might buy one of each

 

I'm confused. If the PC 15 set is required for the head, then does the head stow in the cab in vehicle/bot mode or does it clip on like the G1 bot? I ask because the PC15 kit is designed to snap into the default cab of the HasTak release.

 

Pc 15 is not required for the cab set. the cab has headmaster functionality. Pc 15 and default lg ginrai use the same clip system for the neck joint.

I have a lot of PE products and without seeing the detailed shots I still imagine I'd buy this one over X2 if I decide to get either of the PM primes over the maketoys version

 

Sorta off topic, but if they are going for new molds like this, wish they would make a new Mixmaster for the UW Devy.

The shades of red on the different releases are different, right? I could see that being an issue.

 

It's about time some 3rd party company gets on board with a transforming replacement cab for Super Ginrai.   I hope they'll also make a version of this for both CW Leader Ultra Magnus as well as the rumored Magnus Prime as well.

 

I'm fairly certain it will work with the Hasbro version. if you look closely, they remove the chest plate on both versions, and both Hasbro and Takara use the same torso trailer to hold the cab. But you're right, the paint will likely not match.

 

Having Super Ginrai in hand yesterday, I can't wait for this.
