I noticed a few comments here saying that the new grip points on the PC-09 feet have little to no effect.
Also that the PE hands canst hold Shockwave correctly.

I have the older black PE upgrade set on my Bruticus and I did some fixes/upgrades that should apply to the PC-09 set just as well.

First the feet.
Under the toe of the black feet there is a small depression almost like they planned grip pads then scrapped them.
So I took some rubber "Surface Protectors" I got from the hardware store and used a hobby knife to slice out small bits to fit in the depressions. They have an adhesive back so they just stick straight on.





I originally planned to put some near the back of the feet as well, but it proved unnecessary, the toe grips make him very stable, his feet no longer try to do the splits! Yay!


For Shockwave I used some styrene tube/sheeting to make an adapter that gives a 5mm port in the center of the hand.








I was gonna get the PC-09 set, but after these mods (and a little silver paint) I really like this set on Bruticus.





I recommend anyone with the PE upgrades trying to do the splits to get some clear rubber protectors, they worked wonders for mine.

It's such a damn shame this set doesn't have cannons to replace those small cannons on Bruticus, if it did then I would have bought this set already. I'm just quietly waiting for Killinger/GCIT's upgrade set gets released and then decide if I want to get the PE set as well

I got these today and they are worlds nicer than the original PE feet. The ball joints are much tighter, but not too tight and it greatly improves the stability. Mine also DID have nonslip pads in the indentations on the bottom of the feet and they work beautifully. I have my combaticons attached to the cyclonus/galvatronus torso until onslaught arrives this week and he can actually stand without flopping over headfirst, which never happened before. If PE makes more of this version in different colors I am in.

 

Yes please PE, make them in white and I'll buy!

Okay, I finally got my CW Onslaught, along with the PE set, and I'm wondering what's up? I see from the pictures here and some Youtube Videos, people are able to get Bruticus to stand straight, but when I try to do it, Bruticus topples over, as Swindle is like half an inch shorter than Brawl in leg mode.

Only way I can even pose Bruticus, is to have him look like he's about to jump into action or do a lunge...

 

You haven't transformed Brawl into leg mode correctly

That entire bit at his bottom folds to the back

 

Yeah, some of the various limb bots (rook, mirage/drag strip, brawl, suntreaker/breakdown) have this like half inch extra bit you can use or not. For legs, usually the shorter mode is the one you want (unless you're using two bots that have the extension).

 

Okay! Yeah, when I first did it, I saw the port folding up too, so I stopped, but just did it again to see if I missed anything, and didn't realize another port flips into place on the opposite of that piece! Now Bruticus can stand straight, with a little hip-thrusting pose, but he's standing! Thanks!

Even now I still can't get Bruticus' thighs to work in this position, it just keeps forcing his upper body back. I tried unlocking the thigh parts but it falls apart when trying to stand him up.

 

The trick is to lift his hip/crotch piece out of the way, rotate the legs into place, and then seat the crotch into place. It won't sit entirely flat, but it's hard to notice and it no longer pushes his legs out of position.
