I want to say PE teased it, but it might have been another company- I know I saw the teaser somewhere. But then again, why would you make Optimal Optimus alone? PE would have to be silly to make one and not the other- so I would expect them to crank out a Dragon Megatron eventually. Clearly they've got the design skills and materials- they could do it if they wanted to- so I'm personally just waiting for them to announce it.

I already knew about that one, but I could've sworn I saw a teaser for another one somewhere....

I just posted a question about it on PE's facebook page, so as soon as they reply I'll let ya know.

That teaser came from that group that made the downsized Op Op I believe.

Actually i watched the review on that, and it looks good. It was revealed that they didn't use chrome plating on him, but shiny blue and brown paint instead- which I'm actually relieved on, because I hate chrome- so i was happy to hear that. I might pick him up at some point, because i think he's only 60-70 bucks- so that's not bad.

Have fun and enjoy. The instructions aren't the greatest so watch YouTube videos before transforming him. Easier to do all from his robot mode they say.
Please post pics and show us your collection. That's the best part of this thread.

Well, I don't have many PE products, but I do have some Transmetal and updated Season 1 figures- so I can put those with him.

However, keep in mind: I actually stripped the chrome off my Transmetals- because as a kid the chrome chipped pretty easily, so I didn't want to bother with that, and I just fast-forwarded the process: Gave'em a 24-48 hr purple power (Automotive Degreaser) bath, scrubbed with a tooth brush, and it came right off. They look pretty nice, especially Cheetor. You'll see what I mean when I post pics. ^_^

I've watched plenty of videos and the transformation seems pretty close to the original, so once I do it a few times I'm sure it'll get easier and easier. Seeing as how he can fly in robot mode, I won't be putting him in plane mode very often- nor will I do the car mode either- those modes just look silly. lol

Okay, so I got mine, I unboxed it in my car over lunch- picked it up, fiddled with it a little bit, so here're my first impressions:

Heft: Lighter than I thought it would be- I'm surprised. Not a bad thing though, makes it easier on the joints.
Paint Application: Flawless. Everything is perfect. Clean, crisp, and pretty all over. ^_^
Joint Quality: I don't want to say they're loose, they're between loose and tight- they're smooth- if that makes any sense. I'm guessing, if you wish to tighten them yourself, you can- so maybe I will, I haven't decided yet.
Plastic: Ya know, it feels good....it doesn't feel cheap- it feels solid, smooth, and durable- they did well.
    Overall: A++

I can't really find a major flaw man....it's..it's amazing. I'm just glad the face wasn't messed up, because I saw, in some Youtube reviews, that the paint on the face was sometimes not so clean- but mine's c-r-i-s-p-y clean- perfect. He's a beautiful beast. ^_^

If you're a Beast Wars fan, you have to get this....

Dude, the transformation was actually quite easy- I only had to glare at the directions twice- just to see how the waist section locked into place- when going from robot to ape mode. But the transformation is so smooth and clever, that if you scan the whole figure carefully you'll find, "Oh, look at that- a peg..." and "Ah, there's the port..."- everything's exposed, for the most part, so it's just a matter of looking around and thinking, "Mhm, that probably goes there..."- and that's how easy it was!

I don't even need the directions anymore- I just transformed him to ape mode and I've already mastered it, because it's so simple- so not only does it ace every other category, but ANOTHER A+ for engineering and transformation! This thing is perfect!! ^_^

Like many, I'm hoping they do a Primal Prime as well. If the do a Dragon TM2 Megs, I really want a Cryotek as well.

As in perfect effects! Well now you have inspired me to play more with it.
Anybody know about the plastic quality of this company as this is my only PE figure. Looking forward to Primal Prime, black version, etc.
Enough already, post some pics will ya. Especially of your modified transmetals I am looking forward to your work. Always interesting to look at what others do to modify their toys. 20170711_195638.jpg
