...i've been really impressed with the shelf presence of perfect effect's transmetal reinterpretations: leonidas, gorira, and ostensibly doragon may have some slightly-fidgety engineering, but once they're transformed and posed i think offer knockout design reinterpretations of well-established character models... ...i know the third-party market is pretty saturated with G1-style dinobots and insecticons, as well as more than a few CHUG or cybertronian renditions of the original diaclone beasts, but i'd love to see perfect effect's take on those classic characters in the same transmetal style as their other perfect beast figures...personally, i've long retconned the insecticons as lost beast-era stasis pod protoforms, so it just feels like a natural fit to me... ...how about it?..would you pull the trigger on perfect effect dinobots, insecticons, or deluxe insecticons rendered in the same design pallate and premium standards as their other transmetal figures?..

They've established themselves as excellent makers of beast wars characters and designs specifically and I think they should continue doing that. A Rampage or a Blackarachnia or even some of the more obscure toy-only designs given new life would be perfect for them to cover. This the kinda shit they should be doing.

I don't really get what would be the appeal of G1 beastformers in a Transmetal style, but I voted Deluxe Insecticons and Allicons because those guys don't get enough love.
I'm still mad that they're sadly moving on from the BW stuff, I'm even more PO'ED that their Big Convoy will stay as a teaser line art. I don't even want to think about all the other cool beast they could be doing, I would be in for their take on the horrorcons and con beast headmasters
I wouldn't mind huge "Transmetal" Terrorcons. I like updated designs but keep everything else MP standard please.
If they'd just make it smaller, I'd be way more willing to go in. As it is, they're too big. I know that OpOp and Megs were tall boys without compare in the show, but I have finite space.
they have not said they are moving on, many companies have multiple lines and design philosophies running at the same time. just because we've seen a new optimus prime from them doesnt mean they dont have more beasts in the pipeline
By standard you mean quality? I would want Voyager size figures maybe 7-8in, I wouldnt want anything bigger than their Xerxes(save for Big Convoy) maybe their head up to his chest
they've knocked it out of the park with Op Op and TM2 Megatron, I'd love to see them keep on going with more BW stuff, maybe even go into BM stuff. I've said it a few times, but I really would love if they retooled the TM2 Megatron into BM Megatron.
Yeah, I'm only in on PE doing TM/TM2 designs, especially of the larger (Mega on up) figures - Tigerhawk, Cybershark, etc.
I'd prefer Iron Factory's Legends-scale be the standard but I'd def be down for more mecha-beasts that can be played with 18th-scale human figures. TM2 Rhinox is still one of the best TFs evar, imho. I'd kill to get some IF Insecticons the same size as their Ravage, too.
Why would they need to be G1 transmetals and not simple G1s or simple BWs TMs that havent been released?
...just variety, really: blur the line between G1 and BW, make them all one big happy cybertronian menagerie... ...back when beast wars first debuted (before the television series), i envisioned them as a newer, faster, more-beastial generation of insecticons, dinobots, predacons, and the like, so i've always enjoyed mixing them together...diaclone beasts are cool, and transmetals are cool, but they really aren't that far apart from each other in design intent... ...honestly, i'd be just as excited to see beast wars characters rendered in classic diaclone style, too, but there are plenty of G1 masterpieces already on the market; meanwhile perfect effect is doing extremely impressive work with their transmetal reinterpretations...
Now that I think about the G1xBW is already in route with GT and DX9 doing those scan figures that the guy drew up, Primal gorilla, Roddy cat, and Sideswipe bull are in route
