DAMN dude... Hope you heal quickly!
I feel like there's a crazy story to go with that, unless I missed it already?

That would involve me having the time to open it.
I'm aiming to crack it open and fiddle with it tonight before bed... which is now.
So I'll go do that and post thoughts tomorrow!

Ok, quick initial Springer thoughts before I slip into sweet, beautiful sleep...
    He’s pleasantly complex.
A lot of moving parts, panels and tabs
I never owned the G1 figure, but saw pictures of this guy and thought “how complicated can it be?” Yeah... from Robot to car: 25 steps! From car to helicopter? ANOTHER 25 steps!

It’s definitely not “pull the legs back, push the arms up, attach the rotor and boom it’s a helicopter”
It’s a lot of moving around, but I have to tell you, mine locks in rock solid in all modes. Well... some tabs will benefit (read: not absolutely require) from a splash of future, but they’re primarily in Robot mode from what I can see. Car mode and helicopter mode lock up quite nicely. It’s a brick in both modes, in a good way.
Robot mode has some nice pose-ability.
He can stow all weapons in bot mode on his back, which is included in the instructions

Aesthetically speaking, I wish the feet were a tad bigger, but once I transformed it, I see why they need to be the size that they are.

Oh, and it has 2 stand holes underneath the choppa mode for display-in-flight goodness.

Yeah, I could tell from that TF Video that transforming him was the equivalent of a Rubic's cube.

I haven't seen any size comparison pics of him as far as Voyagers and Deluxe's go. How tall is he to Siege Optimus?

Hidden Treasures in Lancaster has a bunch of carded Beast Wars/RiD era stuff, some miscellaneous Universe/Classics, and some Japanese stuff. Bought a Heinrad.

Finally got a chance to grab some comparisons for anyone interested.
Spring is next to Sideswipe, Hound, Ultra Magnus (recently cleaned and looking spectacular), Prime, and Ironhide

After fiddling with and transforming him a few times there is one pain point: His ankles.
Maybe mine are just a fluke, but when you stand him "straight up" as in not leaning (even in an A-stance), his ankles tend to give way which results in him leaning back. He has nice large heal spurs, so that's not an issue, but it can make him fall. I'm going to tighten them up with some superglue (Bob Smith - thank you Yaujta!) and hope that takes care of it.
Other than that it's a great figure.

    He does look mighty good!
The reviewer TMan also has a copy with loose ankles. I'm guessing it's a thing.

You look on Brickseek and see that there's 15 dlx's in stock at Horsham's Wal-Mart only to find out there all just Wave 2's. :(

Meanwhile South Philly Walmart (Columbus BLVD) has 28 Dlx's showing on Brickseek.....
