He looks awesome! instant buy and all but to be honest I would of preferred a Leader class Lugz instead of another voyager
Awesome review. The little update at the end completely sold me on the toy. I felt a little weird about Lugnut because of the huge backpack + the tailfins showing from pretty much every position (and I still wish Hasbro/Takara would've had the tail coming off and serving as a sort of a weapon), but he just looks G-O-O-D.
I knew gold when I saw it. I was already sold on Lugnut after the Chinese con pics, so now I can't wait to get this one!
hugely disappointing. lugnut's my favorite TFA char, but the things I REALLY wanted his updated toy to do was be bigger in bot mode and not have a stupid weapon hanging off his back wasting plastic. Fail on both counts. Frowny Face!
I think what they are doing is actually ingenious. They are able to give us what they want but couldn't afford to do it in a completely different line. So the kids don't understand, but we get to go after the good stuff.
Truly grand and glorious. I wish he'd still been purple, but aw well. This Lugnut is awesome, and proof that Animated will live on.
Glad I watched it to the end and saw that he DOES have his hunchback. The lack of it was what made me cancel my preorder last week, but he's back in my preorders once again.

Nice review Peaugh!! The update at the end made me VERY happy! Seaspray is in Hunt for the Decepticons, not ROTF. Windcharger is in Reveal the Sheild, not ROTF, Lugnut is in Reveal the sheild, not Generations. (all three are in the catch all yellow package line though) There are quite a few figures Hasbro has done, including some of the off screen characters from ROTF that are misfits. They could sort of go in either line, but sort of don't belong in either line. Some are debatable, and all up to your personal preference as to where they belong. But Hasbro is also giving us lots of awesome "classics" in Generations and Reveal the sheild. Personally I'll be getting United Lugnut and he will be added to my classics collection.
The hunch makes me think the tailfin part should be sticking up, instead of against his back, for aesthetics sake...
Proper transformation changed alot of minds! Never been into animated but its cool that characters are crossing over to mainstream realistic asthetic. Im starting to think he'd look good with my classics decepticons. Is that thingie in the back a gun? In jet mode it seems to be kinda like the mid air re-fuel line for fighter jets, i like that!
great review peaugh, im on the fence about lugnut, i think i like him better in vehicle mode which is a first for me, lol, im not liking that missle hanging around with no real way to go, it looks very rushed or something, and i am sick of TF's with these huge hands and no gun to put in it, wtf.
ugh! this idea that hasbro has of crossing animated crap into another line is bullshit! Just like with lockdown, theres no need to cross lines and bring in this crap. What a waste!!!
