Power Core Combiners Skyburst with Aerialbots Video Review - Transformers News

 

I was initially very excited about these, then not so much, and now i'm on the fence (with a leg possibly dangling over the excited side again!). I'll probably pick one up and give them a go. They look fun to fiddle around with at least.

Great review P, but man-oh-man...those limbs look like @$$! It's kinda annoying me, because I really want to be more excited for these guys. It's such an awesome idea, but the execution is way, way off. Hopefully the later waves will have slightly less mutilated looking limbs.

 

Nice review. I see repaint potential.

 

ill be buying these even though everytime i see them being combined i hear the voltron combination sequence " Form feet and legs , form arms and torso and ill form the head!"

 

I had no idea they were going to be so small. I'm not sure if I'm going to pick these figures up. Much like the Bayformers and AEC lines I think I'm going to go back to being very picky. Animated killed my wallet. LOL!

 

Wow, for some reason the drones look terrible with their packaged torso bot, for me anyways, but with Searchlight they look a whole lot better!

I think that just makes me want Searchlight MORE, because he's the only Autobot PCC with a robot mode that doesn't seem to have some bad aspect about him to me.

 

Deluxe Ironhide should be here any day now, and WFC optimus should be here sometime later this week/early next.

 

I honestly can't gush enough about Searchlight. Of the four sets I've gotten so far, Searchlight is far and away my favorite. It's just no contest. If I had to rate just the scouts, it'd be Searchlight>>>>>>>Bombshock>Smolder>>>Skyburst.

Smolder and Bombshock are neck and neck, but I just love Bombshock's individual robot mode so much.

 

After watching the video and seeing how the Skyburst transforms, I just have to ask if he can do Gerwalk?

Not that i'm getting him even if he does it.

 

Did anyone else get a Machine Wars Jet vibe off the transformation of Skyburst?

having a really hard time gauging the actual size of the combined modes. could you compare them to some modern deluxes or voyagers?

 

Energon combiners and repaints are head, tails and removable fists above this junk.

I'm still liking Bombshock the best,but I do agree that the Arielbots look a lot better on Searchlight.

 

i dont like this as much as the COMBATICONS , ill still get it but i wont pester my mum to let me have the money for it , but still it was a nother great review by peaugh 

 

I'm loving the helicopter gestalt. I might have to get two Aerial bots sets to swap parts around, so I can have one chopper gestalt, and one full plane gestalt. Then again I also want to give bombshock a chopper leg.

Overall, loving these more than I thought I might.

Hopefully we'll see some repaints like a green helicopter body, blue firetruck, and more varied limbs to fill out the defensor bots. These are looking better and better for shelves and desks. Plus I just really want that chopper in green for an animated springer lol.
But smolder as defensor would look awesome for display too, as would combaticons with a chopper leg to replace the tank leg.
