Noticed this on a FB group after someone was asking about parts for their PE version. I'd need some reviews \ in hand impressions but possibly up for one  

Didn't realise the PE stuff was that flaky though, doesn't bode well for their massive Optimal Prime thing!

 

If they can fix some of the problems the mold has, I may be tempted to pick this guy up.

 

I have the originals... i hope they do something about the weak shoulders. Mine keeps toppling over...

 

theyre stuff tends to be very delicate, at least this and arenea was, he fell of my shelf and the lion head broke off so i could def use the parts as for arenea i had to glue her windshield back on but that's my own fault for rough handling the transfomation

 

xerxes the repaint was said to have fixed a lot of the originals issues

A Alpha Trion Lion would be great too. Just leave it headless so one can upgrade a TR Trion.

 

I'm interested depending on pricing. Was always kind of iffy on this guy's appearance, but I'm highly suggestible when it comes to KOs.

Apologies if there was a thread already. I searched different variations of the name and didn't find anything. You guys search better than I   I suck.

What I've found in talking to various different sellers in China is that a lot of the end cost to us folks is the box size and overall weight. The heavier the thing is and the bigger it is, pushes the shipping cost from say bucket 1 to bucket 2 - and there is a corresponding jump in shipping cost. I think they way that they are able to sell figures and include shipping and still beat US retail is that they either get it for cheap and then are able to ship cheaply in bucket 1. But if the weight or box size pushes it to bucket 2, the shipping cost goes up (even if profit stays the same) - and buyers balk.

I'm pretty sure this will be sub $100 - although that's just a pure guess. I'll update my BST thread when I am able to firm up pricing.

I saw that TF Direct has this up for pre-order (surprise surprise) but I'm pretty sure I will be able to beat their price.

I've got the original as well (purchased from a nice member on the board) - and while I do like the look of it - because of all the complaints about qc issues in the original thread, I am scared to transform him or pose him too much for fear of something snapping off. He does look awesome - but because I live in fear of him breaking - I always have him on a stand, on a low shelf... lol

I look forward to picking up the new guys so to be able to play around with them a bit more. Probably go for the nemesis and eva versions myself...

I dunno how the merging threads work. If someone wants to merge it with the thread that is really a poll or whatever is in the KO thread, by all means...

This has been on my radar for awhile. I missed out on the PE release, so i'm hoping this one is nice

 

Hmm, interesting. I have the PE version but like the EVA scheme. Not sure I trust a 3rd 3rd party product though. PE get away with their complex designs because they're great at what they do - given to someone less talented it could be a QC nightmare. Even PE had to admit that the tail wasn't very strong in terms of design.

I shall watch with interest...

 

NeoArt did the KO regular size Feral/Nero Rex and that received great reviews for being really close to the original quality, plus it was the only way to get a felisaber in the Nero repaint

 

Really hope each version comes with all weapons. I love the Nemesis colors but the lack of sword always turned me off.
