Something just dawned on me... maybe Crankcase isn't a total Motormaster homage. Destrons.... a black long nosed semi.... RID/Car Robots anyone?
Eh, every single one of those 5 packsand combined modes look like ass. I was pleasently surpised by the 2 packs so I'll get those from this line but that's it.
Relooking at it with more time, gonna have to really see which color of which mold will get the drones to make a gestalt for display. The protectobots though I will be buying two of since my first TF ever was Hot Spot back in G1 and I still have him and its nostalgic to me.
Got kinda mixed feelings on the various PCC repaints, though I like the western use of the "Destron" name. I will say though: Searchlight --> Windburn. Light bluish helicopter repainted into light bluish helicopter. Way to be Hasbro!
After reading comments from other members I've changed My want list Leadfoot with Pinpoint,Double Clutch with Rallybots,Mudslinger with Destructicons,Darkstream with Razorbeam,Steelshot with Beacon,Stakeout with Protectobots.
So I was just messing around with some of these repaints' combos and Skyburst can't even hold Chopster.... fail.
With that known, I will most likely not buy the Decepticon repaint then. The scouts from the 2 packs seem better than the leaders. Nearly all of them have the chest/armor ports, and can hold the minicon weapons.
Hasbro's photoshop department have gone mental with these images... The Protectobots repaints don't look too bad but the rest of these can stay on the shelf.
I'm not the biggest fan of these, but I'm also not the biggest hater either. I've thought about getting Huffer, and the more I see of Leadfoot, the more I kind of like him. As well as how his mini master becomes a engine block...Even if it's a ridiculously oversided one...Then agian, I never held it against Lockdown. The thing is though, if I do get a few of the 2 packs, there's always that dread that the torso mode will tempt me to pick up a 5 pack. And then Ill have to get another to try swapping limbs around, and another, and another, before you know it i'll be hooked on a toy line I didn't really like in the first place.
Smolder and Huffer look great, but I'm not spending £20 just to get a scout with some crappy drones which I'm gonna throw away. Though I might use the drones just as vehicles attacking the Autobots/Decepticons in a display

There's a man who's not played with the good toys in the line. Treat yourself to Smoulder, he's superb by himself.
The Skyburst and Bombshock redecos are gorgeous. Combiners not so much, what with the mixed-up limbs (how are TANKS good for a Protectobot team?).
I love these guys, since I saw these I might even bypass some Generations since I haven't seen them anyways, and I didn't like Seaspray( I know he was technically HFTD.) I will be getting alot of the 5 packs, and will be tempted to repaint the Rallybots into Stunticons. These are homages not 100% replacement like someone else said. They know we want Huffer with 4 cars, that's why they placed them in different packs, we should know marketing like this by now guys. And skipping a whole line because of repaints or 1 bad figure that makes no sense.
