I may not be the biggest PCC fan, but I can respect it's concept, and lately I've kind of been thinking about just were they could end up going with the line. With the Dinobot set we've heard about recently opening up the line to some pretty wild ideas, I was wonder where else could they take it from there? Personally, if they're doing a Dinobot one, I figure why not do an Insecticon PCC set. Make the Commander/Torso-bot based on one of the lesser known insecticons, like Chop Shop or Barrage with a set of insect limb drones. I think that'd not only make for a pretty cool PCC but just one wicked looking toy. What ideas would you think would make for a interesting PCC set? Or even a 2-pack. What would you like to see?
I'd like to see a deluxe torso with drone ports, to be a torso to the scouts-as-limbs. (that ain't happenin, probably) I'd like to see an Omega Supreme piece. More beasts. Fort Max as a simple spaceship thing, with the four original headmaster guys as drones. Metroplex as a battle station with the vehicular combiner leaders as drones, maybe with a half assed 2nd alt mode with the drones attached. we've got all cars, all jets, all military... um... all aquatic? that'd be cool. space station stuff?
A Seacon one wouldn't be so bad, imo.... A train bot would always be welcomed. Rescuebots (Ambulance, Fire Truck, Police Car, etc) Spybots (Satellite, Radar Vehicles, etc)
Optimus Primal as the scout, Rhinox, Cheetor, Rattrap and Dinobot as the drones. Megatron as the scout, Scorponok, Terrorsaur, Tarantulus, and Waspinator as the drones. Tell me ya wouldn't LOVE that...
I'd like to see a Predacon set, with the leader being a winged lion of some sort. That way the combined mode could have a lion head for a chest, and a set of wings on the back. Just like a certain someone...
Those would be some cool ideas, though I'm not too sure if they'd actually use some of those names. Sure some of the more obscure guys like Huffer (Yes, Huffer is a generally obscure character.) may get made into a commander figure, but it seems Hasbro is trying to shy away from actually recreating existing characters. Reasons why the PCC sets aren't actually Bruticus or Defensor. I like the Fort Max idea as an homage, but probably call him something else...Like Max Force or something...I donno. That'd actually be hilarious. I can't see it happening. But if it did I'd probably have to buy it. That'd actually be a great idea, because you could actually make a "train" in alt-mode with the commander figure as the engine and the limbs as the various train cars. Yeah, that needs to happen. You mean like a Griffin? Yeah, I could see that. You could also make the limbs as other mythical creatures.
I recommend Bombshock.... nothing on Skyburst though. Its a sub-par scout compared to the rest. It's "ok" by itself, but all the other scouts on the PCC line is so good compared to it
Weirdwolf (Predacons drones) Sharpshot (Incesticons drones) Sky-Byte (Seasons drones) Snapper (Reptilcons drones) Deathlock (Terrorcons drones) Blackarachnia (Arachniabots drones) Afterburn (Technobots drones) Mirage (Spybots drones) 2-Pack AUtobots Autobot Pipes w/ Haywire Sideburn w/ Firebolt Suntsreaker w/ Sparkplug Decepticons Dark Magnum w/ Sniper Decepticon Venom w/ Carnage Megastorm w/ BB
I'd be down for a train-bot set, not only would it look cool but the general blockyness of most modern trains would lend themselves to giving more freedom in designing better limbs. A road-work themed set would also be cool.
Soundwave Torso Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ratbat Limbs Rumble and Frenzy Minicons Blaster Torso Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Two other animal limbs Rewind and Eject Minicons
Autobot Burnout, I love that idea for a Road Work theme. Something like, one of those asphalt rippers, as the Scout and then other road work vehicles as drones, maybe make him an Autobot to kind counter Devastator.
Well who knows. If PCC does well enough, Hasbro may take it to that level with larger scale figures. I don't think the original concept of combiner teams(Robot limbs.) is gone for good. We will probably see some variation of it again.
