Yeah, the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games are top notch, in fact, I'm replaying BG 1 right now. Diablo 2 is pretty cool. If you can find a collector's edition, it's worth it for the soundtrack alone.

Oh that's no good. I just kicked my Civ III habit.

    Well, so much for that.

The best part is that, no matter which generation you're looking at (after the NES), there's a Civilization game to screw with you. For 15 years it's held us prisoner indoors.

Just started playing Civ4, i've only had it 2 days and i've already played it for about 15 hours.

The barbarians being organised and occupying continents caught me out like a mofo. I hurried to monopolise the new world before the CPU players could get a foothold, but when I got there I was sent packing by about 6 cities full of the bastards. Now i've got 20-odd units of knights clearing it out before I have another go at colonisation.

I remember first discovering Civ I in the late 90's. Oh Lord I loved that game. It was the first game, and to this day one of the only, that really had me addicted and kept me hooked like crack.

I tried an early version of Civ IV, but it slowed my system down and would seem to crash. Have they fixed it up since the release version?

I never had any problems with it, but I know they've put out a few downloadable patches since its release. I'd say it's worth a second look - it's Civ IV for crying out loud. ;)
