I want to pick up some good pc games that i missed from the "last" generation. So if you guys could help me out a bit. I preferably want some RTS or RPG. Thanks for the help guys.
98-02 ,,, let's see here Neverwinter Nights plus expansions Warcaft 3 plus expansion Icewind Dale 1&2 Command&Conquer: Red Alert 2 plus expansion Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Academy Serious Sam Age of Empires 2 plus Expansion, and Star Wars: Battlegrounds plus expsnsion (same engine) Call of Duty plus expansion That's all that I can think of offhand.
Yeah, the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games are top notch, in fact, I'm replaying BG 1 right now. Diablo 2 is pretty cool. If you can find a collector's edition, it's worth it for the soundtrack alone.
*checks fine print* Only install if capable of losing days at a time without fear of loss of job, loss of relationship, or loss of ability to withstand the Sun's direct rays.
The best part is that, no matter which generation you're looking at (after the NES), there's a Civilization game to screw with you. For 15 years it's held us prisoner indoors.
Starcraft plus expansion Diablo II plus expansion Age of Mythology plus expansion (expansion was 2003, but might as well)
Just started playing Civ4, i've only had it 2 days and i've already played it for about 15 hours. The barbarians being organised and occupying continents caught me out like a mofo. I hurried to monopolise the new world before the CPU players could get a foothold, but when I got there I was sent packing by about 6 cities full of the bastards. Now i've got 20-odd units of knights clearing it out before I have another go at colonisation.
I remember first discovering Civ I in the late 90's. Oh Lord I loved that game. It was the first game, and to this day one of the only, that really had me addicted and kept me hooked like crack. I tried an early version of Civ IV, but it slowed my system down and would seem to crash. Have they fixed it up since the release version?
I never had any problems with it, but I know they've put out a few downloadable patches since its release. I'd say it's worth a second look - it's Civ IV for crying out loud.
i love civilization!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm gettin civ 4 now omg!!!!! so amazing!
