Just some news for anyone in Asia and/or Hong Kong on Jan 24th. Pat Lee will be at SCAD HK talking about his various works and experiences.
I honestly don't know how he is perceived. Certainly he is experienced, but of course experience and success are not the same thing. As SCAD is an art & design college it makes sense to get industry experts in to share their knowledge.
Someone needs to ask him how the "Creative Refund Movement" he promised Rich Johnston back in December of 2010 is getting along.
Thanks for this. Sadly I'm guessing that whilst Pat Lee is to blame for much of the problems that you could equally blame US business practices too which are often shady to say the least and allow company to "shed its skin" and continue as if nothing happens under a new guise.
Several former Dreamwave employees stated in interviews that Pat had lied them into their faces, saying everything was totally hunky-dory when his company was already crashing down in the background. He made sure to keep his fancy sports car before declaring bankruptcy. He repeatedly funneled away company money for personal expenses. Since the falter of Dreamwave, and subsequently Dream Engine, Pat has been involved with at least half a dozen companies, none of which are around anymore. At this point it stops being an unfortunate situation and starts looking like a method.
