I know it's an evil thing to say but I really like Pat Lee's TF work... *duck and cover*

 

Pat Lee blogs at alivenotdead.com as well and he logs on pretty often.
Sometimes, he'll even pop in the shoutbox and chat with users of the site.

He just had this exhibition in Hong Kong recently where he drew alot of American comic book characters like Batman, Spidey, Optimus Prime and etc in 2.5 hours. I went to this building 3 months before Pat Lee came to draw all over the Diesel building. There was alot for Pat Lee to draw so doing it in 2 hours was a pretty crazy thing to do. I also recall Pat Lee signed the guestbook at the Diesel building last December when American photographer Terry Richardson had an art exhibit there. I recall that Pat Lee used an entire page to draw Optimus Prime's head. I wanted to take a photo of it but the workers had prohibited me from doing that.

 

While I like Pat's style, those breast windows on Prime annoy the hell out of me.

 

Did he hire someone to paint in the colours and then not pay them? lolololol porsche lolololol

By the way, I'm digging the work you guys are doing over at IDW.

This picture of Optimus is a cautionary tale to children everywhere...this is what can happen when you stick your head out through the sun roof of your mother's car.

 

Okay, so I just had a fantastic idea for an all-star TF comic: Pat Lee on robots, Rob Liefeld drawing people, and the ghost of MC Escher on backgrounds. It could be set in an alternate universe with non-Euclidean geometry, where chests and biceps swell and hands don't need to have three dimensions. In deference to Liefeld, feet will not be used in this universe. And the ceilings will be too low for the Transformers to stand up straight, causing them all to squat permanently. Also, M. Night Shyamalan will write the script. Financed by Dreamwave/engine/whatever.

Singapore moved HK singer with her sister Race Wong. Their music is meh imo, they were in a few HK tv dramas, etc. Not sure how Pat Lee met them but hopefully he won't pull an Edison Chen >___<

 

Ms. Wong's music career in Asia must indeed be "meh" because I'm from S'pore and I have never heard of her! LOL! How do you know about the Edison mess - are you an asian or you follow the HL entertainment industry, dude?

 

I'm Asian =P Mix HK and Taiwan so I follow both media. Also I'm from Canada and Edison isn't exactly making Chinese Canadians happy either with his whole stupid scandal.

 

I believe that if I had drawn that, I'd have never let it see anything other than the trash can. Really, can someone not look at that and see it's just wrong?
